    the ratchet being too tight makes sense, the more force causing the plastic to break

    Tried to transform second time. Still intact. Wait for awhile til back to robot mode.
    Copy the hand gesture of Wotafa for certain tricky part (pulling torso, untab panels,etc) help a lot

    I admire everyone brave and/or skillful enough to open up your Megs and make adjustments. That would end very badly for me so I’m going to just cross my fingers and hope everything is ok. Planning to transform him to dino for the first time this weekend. I’ve also acquired a very strong craving for a MO Dinobot.

    I'll be opening mine up when he arrives to perform the possible preventative fix. Hopefully that does the trick. I ended up ordering shock oil online - where would you find it in brick and mortar stores?

    Opened up the crotch to loosen screws and lube the ratchets. The hips feel better now, but while I was rotating a ratchet to get the shock oil in all the teeth a spring popped out. Lost the damn thing for 3 hours. Swept my whole room to no avail when, at the peak of my frustration, I happened to step on it. Woot!
