I'm completely indifferent. The figures never come with batteries, and I'm so anal about condition that I'd never scratch the screws trying to open the panel to insert them, so I'll never use the gimmicks anyway. I suppose it's cool to know they could do it? If I could save some cash then maybe I would have a stronger opinion, but let's be honest, we live in a time where the world's econimic bubble is so inflated that there isn't a company out there that's passing savings on to the customer.

 

I'm pretty sure the Japanese have a pretty good idea what constitutes a higher adult collectible, hell it's their market. Everybody is either trying to copy it (China) or piggyback off of it ( that would be us).

That said I like lights more than sound but actually don't mind the voices when they use them. They only seem to be saving them for the big time characters, so I doubt it's an addition they'll include too much.

 

I prefer no gimmicks whatsoever. Hell I am not a big fan of weapon storage....especially if it compromises either mode (especially bot mode). As far as electronics...yeah, no. I never use them...I never see the point. I mean, it's a cool concept and all but it's pretty useless to me. Give me the best representation of a character and then see how you can add cool features to that representation....not design the representation based on the cool features.

 

Damn it. DHL will deliver on Tuesday but I won't get back from vacation till 12 am Thursday.  

 

After my last AJ order , I don’t trust dhl’s tracking system at all . There telling me Wednesday but I’ll continue to assume the window is anywhere’s between the 2nd and the 5th. Regardless , he’s in the mail , and it’s only a matter of a few more days ...

 

Being that I live so close to Cincinnati, I usually get him a day earlier than what they prognosticate. Woe is me. I think I'm going to be *cough cough* sick on Monday.

I have the 3 megatrons in 3 different orders. What's weird is that the one that had the notice about the delay already shipped. Meanwhile the one I ordered first way back in July hasn't shipped. You'd think they'd do a first in first out kind of thing

 

no doubt its a combination of the recording, the tiny amp and the speaker, it is always going to sound shrieky with distortion and all the lows missing.

Ugh...got the delay email, and NO shipping notice from AJ. I've never seen them ship on a Sunday (their time) so probably nothing for the next 24 hours. The good news is, I've often got a shipping notice from them Sunday night, and its in my hands Tuesday afternoon, so really only 1 day of a delay, I'm hoping.

 

I concur lights are more preferable provided they work properly (looking at you Dinobot) as they can enhance a display or photos. I sort of wish the ones TT put in weren't all on a timer or had alternate settings so they could be left on fo as long as I felt necessary. Sounds (even if they were in English) I can take or leave, I don't hate that they are there they they don't really add anything for me. It would irritate me if by adding them it effects the appearance of the figure (looking at you MP-44) but if it doesn't interfere I'm fine with it.

 

Damn you guys see all the reports of breakage and stress marks?? After the Dinobot ratcheting shoulders fiasco, I dnt think I can stomach another high level QC failure for figs of this size and expense ... utterly ridiculous
