    My brain skipped a beat and for a moment I thought you meant 780 was the cost of one, not two.

    Why are people still not catching onto this? They care enough to post about the cost but not enough to read any given post where AJ is mentioned?

    Yeah man, I just grabbed this from Amazon Japan. I checked Anime Export as well (my usual go-to for MPs) and it’s slightly more at 24,000 yen plus shipping.

    Overall, I can stomach $227 shipped for this figure with this level of articulation, piece count and absolutely insane awesome paint. Plus, it’s Megatron, YEEEEESSSSSS...

    You know, I didn't even include taxes at the collector store. So with what I purchased at Anime Export, compared to the collector store's price including taxes, I saved $191 CAD.

    Srry if this is a stupid q but you didn’t really lock in at $227 ... you just locked in at the yen price which converts to $227 in dollars at the moment, so if the exchange rate changes, your price will change when they actually charge you 6 mo. from now? ... is that how it works, or are you truly locked in at $227 or lower regardless of exchange rate changes? I’m no Econ major so this is all a bit confusing to me.

    Also, someone mentioned way earlier on this thread I believe that Costco Citi credit cards don’t charge a foreign currency conversion fee, does anyone else know if this is indeed true? Thx all!

    My guess would be the yen price and then however that converts to dollars in January. We are still subject to an exchange rate fluctuation over the next 6-months. So we aren’t locked in at $227, just 25,000 yen.

    There is some leniency when it comes to exchange rates, but I think Sentinel's point is that, assuming nothing major cripples the economy, he's locked in at 227, give or take a dollar.

    I tell you what though, being objective despite being a massive huge BW fan, this figure is just drop dead gorgeous. If they keep the paint as is, then it’s jaw droppingly impressive.
