I think this is a great installment to the MP line and for all the Beast Wars fans.

I was an 80s kid and BW just never did it for me, but I think it's great. BW is building a nice MP line up, and is even being homaged/included in Prime Wars.

(Speaking of Prime Wars... BW Megatron brushing his teeth and bathing with a rubber ducky - ??!... I can't even imagine the disgust that would be engendered and swiftly turned into hate if such writing/scenes appeared in the Machinima series... just sayin')

 

I could've sworn he had the duck in season 1...

According to tfwiki it’s first appearance is coming of the fuzors pt2. If I’m iwron then I’m wrong, but so far no evidence of it being in season one has been presented

You know, I was not a huge fan of the first two BW Masterpiece figures. I did not and do not like the flat fur look...I appreciated the impressive engineering, but they fell into the "not for me" category. On the other hand, Megatron and Dinobot are so fucking amazing looking that I would break my over $200 rule to buy them, but it looks like I'll need to wait for the reissues, if they happen. Also, perhaps sell a kidney.

 

Man I was worried he didn't have forward elbow hinges for a bit but thankfully not the case, he's double jointed hooray!

 

Cheesier than G1 characters riding a merry-go-round and playing basketball in the original toon?

 

Oh by the Matrix, YEEEESS!

 

He's also got bicep swivels and a wrist joint, so the other joint will still work without the claw armour. I think that upper elbow joint is mostly intended to work with the weapon, so he's not always wielding it underslung like the original toy.
