The paint on these MPs is so thin, it's hard to compare to paint used elsewhere (like guitars, for example).

 

Modern guitar paint is super thick. It basically cures like plastic (it essentially is plastic).

Not sure how to make such thin paint more durable, really. It just comes with the territory.

 

Ah, no idea why MP-25 seems to hold up so well tbh. Maybe the sparkles act as an adhesion agent?

 

I've never had Tracks in hand. Are we positive it's paint? there are several really stunning plastic mixes takara does with blue using sparkles or swirls that aren't paint (but pretty much look as good as many coats of paint. If Tracks never chips, could this be why?

 

I understand where you are coming from but sadly there will definitely be QC problem for every figure, is just how mild or how serious the QC problem is. I would love to see mild QC problem for every figure, let's pray hard.

 

Got an email about this guy from AJ today.

 

I finally cancelled my Cordon preorder with AJP yesterday. At nearly the same price as the reissued UW Superion, and the fact that the toon aesthetic is the new normal, I just couldn't justify it.

There's a good chance that Magten was my last 'MP' transforming robot based on a TakaraTomy design. Time will tell.

 

I am also thinking of bailing out of my Cordon preorder. I'd rather get a new mold.

 

As far as toy based Sunstreakers go I'd probably prefer the red one. This guy's cool though.

 

So he is going to be delayed? For how much? New year? Sheesh.....Maybe I should put off buying that guy. What with the new Sunstreaker KO and another recent official disappointment.....

 

How did you pull a New Year delay from a single message from Amazon Japan? Overdramatic much?

And on top of that, who really cares when a Diaclone repaint is delayed a little? This isn't the toy anyone's been waiting 35 years for.
