Ughhhh, why not a new Rodimus?  

 

Basically stating what many of you already said - I have MP 28 (along with TRU MP Rodimus with Offshoot).  If this is just a redo of 28, I\'m just going to stick to my plan of getting my hands on POTP Rodimus Prime

If it's toy accurate colors, too, I might pick this up. But the Targetmaster alone would not be enough for a double dip.

 

Truthfully I was going to get MP-28, despite the flaws, but if MP-40 is going to be that figure but with Firebolt, then I'll just get this. Hopefully all the same accessories are still there, but I won't hold my breath. And hopefully they will announce another Mini-Bot before the end of the year, because we sure as hell need more of those.

 

I'm not sure how I feel about this...

 

I'll be interested to see what they do with the Targetmaster, I must admit I was rather tempted by Artfire and his rather cool looking partner. I do hope theres more different about this release than just his little buddy though.

Come to the beast wars side, we have cookies, bananas and a Dinobot reveal this week.

 

We'll have to see what they do to this beyond the Targetmaster. And is the Targetmaster new or just Firebolt from Hasbro's release remolded? It could be an interesting release, or it could be a bit of a snoozer, we'll have to see.

I really want to see Dinobot and Blaster though. This line is kind of dragging out again and I don't think it is a good thing.

 

Agreed. Don't get the point of stretching the line out further. Third party has already filled most of the gaps that takara's slow pace has left open. Kind of takes the excitement away from new reeases when a 3rd party has already tackled the character and done the legwork for Takara

Unless they make some improvements like screw hole covers, better chrome and better paint than this is a waste of a SKU. They could just sell the targetmaster. He already has the mounting port for alt mode. The price point is pretty ridiculous too. I paid just under $60 for a day one release of MP-28 from HLJ. No special deals, no ebay, no KO. Stock retail. $90 for a re-release of the same figure is madness.

Takara needs to get on with new molds. Where is Jazz/Meister, Trailbreaker, Hound, Mirage/Liger, Hoist, Skids, any of the mini cars other than Bumblebee, the rest of the '85 movie cast? Huh? Where? Come on Takara....

 

Eff it, I just placed a pre order through BBTS...that makes 3 MP's of Hot Rod I'll have

 

DX9 Tyrant is due to be delivered next week at home, he's my new crown jewel.

Are you the guy that always complains every time there's an MP reveal and it's not Galvatron? Yeah, just my opinion, but maybe you should not let this hobby get to you that badly.

If this is a new MP mold, then I'm happy about that. I'd love a little Targetmaster. Hell, I still want Artfire's. But I didn't buy Artfire just to get it.

The prospect of having to buy Hot Rod AGAIN just to get the Targetmaster I want? That's a hell no.

This sounds a bit like Ratbat. I sure as hell didn't buy a repaint of Soundwave to get it, but eventually some smart person KO'd the thing and now I have one. So, just by existing, it turned out to be a good thing, no matter how it was released.

That I'd get. But I passed on MP-36 (a non-silver Megatron is a hard pass).
