Ok I ordered it I have at least a week to cancel if I want   Feels bad man. I have enough reward points on my credit card to cover him, but I can't figure out how to use them on amazon.jp.

 

I mean on the regular amazon.com the points show up and you can just click them and use them. It's probably on USA purchases only. But, yeah I'm going to use the chat, thanks. The chat is just closed right now.

 

I don't think amazon Jp lets you use amazon points, they have their own points thing which is hard to accumulate outside of Japan because most of the stuff you get points back on besides books don't ship out of Japna.

 

I haven't really transformed mine much. I wish I had waited, though.

 

Think of Amazon Japan as a separate entity that just happens to have the same name. There is no real carry over; points, gift cards, prime, accounts etc, none of these will be available because it's essentially not the same company. I'm used to this, the USA is my 3rd country I've lived in and each time it's been the same thing

 

The points are from my mastercard that I use on both amazon.com and amazon.jp. You can use the points towards amazon purchases. I thought because Mastercard is international I could use the points on both amazons.

 

This and 711 Prime and MPM Bee will all ship from AE at the end of the month. Also the 2 February Diaclone Reboot releases will be coming from RK. Won’t see any of it until March but still a lot of stuff flowing in. Also I’m firmly in the ‘gonna get a big reveal’ camp this Sunday. Firmly.

 

So white-undies Hot Rod is about to be released, huh? Looking forward to it, sort of. Would have preferred MP-28, were it not for the suspect chrome. At least there's a Targetmaster with this release.

I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not.
You live in Japan. This item is ridiculously cheap from Nippon Yasan or any Japanese vendor. Why wouldn't you support your local economy and the actual company who create Transformers?

Because I already bought the original. Takara should have released this version from the beginning or at least given warning that another version was coming out later on. Instead, they didn't, eliciting "double dipping" from customers. Buying a KO Target Master version now is the same as waiting for the official version and not buying the first version.

It's the same with Megs. I made the mistake
of buying the inferior official version, but I'm going to buy the metallic version (with less paint scraping and English voice) soon.

In both cases, I'll probably sell the official versions once I've got the better KO versions.

 

Takara pretty regularly repaint their MPs. It's not a huge surprise that they release a TM version of Hot Rod, considering Hasui designed that TM for Habsro years ago and it still hadn't been released in Japan in any form. Do you find MP-40 superior to MP-28? For people who don't care about the TM and prefer the movie homages fishing rod and saw, MP-28 is perfectly adequate. No one is making you double dip, you're free to sell on MP-28.

It's not the same with Megatron, because you're purchasing a KO with a different paint job from any official release. In a way I can understand your reasoning there, at least.


Not sure if I should put in a last-minute preorder for this guy or wait to find out if his chrome holds up well. I'd also prefer to put money towards a new G1 MP, since I've already experienced every mould in this release, but Takara haven't announced one for me to spend my money on yet

Some good posts here, but for me, Takara should have told me/us what was coming out. I don't for a second, belive that they didn't know that they were going to release the targetmaster version later on. Things are put into place months in advance. If Takara cannot, or will not inform me as a customer, or create a version that has good quality, then I will simply buy a better version. If it's cheaper and better (and legal), I'll buy it.

As for "throwing it in everyone's face", that is simply not the case. I stated I would buy a KO version, and that in some cases, the quality and features of the KO have been superior to the original.

Takara need to step up their game, is all.
