I just shot them an email. Hopefully they just take care of it.

I wish 39+ would have just been yellow Sunstreaker with toy head, legs, and red shoulders. I would have bought that instantly. This has no appeal to me, same as the white one.

    This... still waiting...

or an add on kit. Head, shins and wrist blaster. Someone 3rd party or KO should get on this. Just the parts.

Still getting this. I have all the diaclone variants

Odd that Spinout is now cheaper than the Sunstreaker reissue.

Well, then, this isn't for you.
Can't you be happy for those that want/will get this Masterpiece form of a historic figure?

You never know - they might do "toy" Sunstreaker or whatever you're looking for in the future. If they think it will recoup costs and reuse existing toolings, they'll make it!

I mean, he wasn’t putting down the toy or those who like it, he was just stating his preference.

FWIW I’d also like a toy-style Sunstreaker like he describes. Especially since it’d be so easy and require no new parts.

I respect your opinion but if Spinout didn't do anything for you then why post? Spinout is basically what Sideswipe should have been. Why he turned yellow and got the name change 35 years ago is another tale to tell.

This seems a bit harsh, chaps (or chapesses). Surely TFW hasn't got to the point where we don't let anyone express their disappointment, and police threads to make sure that only positive comments are allowed? It wasn't like UtahRobot was trashing the figure, just saying he or she was disappointed that MP-39+ isn't a yellow toy Sunstreaker. And I entirely agree - I'm also disappointed that MP-39+ isn't a yellow Sunstreaker. Up until now, every + release has either been 'toon-based repaint (where the original was a more toy-based) or a toy-based one (whether the original was more 'toon-based), so, since seeing Cordon's toy-based head, many of us hoped for an MP-39+ toy-based Sunstreaker. The fact that Takara is using the MP-39+ designation for a red Diaclone repaint (where recently Diaclone repaints have had their own number) seems to indicate that they have no plans for a toy-based Sunstreaker at all. I don't see why people shouldn't be allowed to express their feelings over that in the MP-39+ thread.

Oh, and although I'm disappointed that MP-39+ is not toy Sunstreaker, I'm still very glad we're getting Spinout - it's only what the numbering choice implies that disappoints me, not the figure itself. I have this on pre-order and cannot wait to put him next to Tigertrack, as the "what we could have had" twins.

I follow the words of wisdom of Thumper's mom. Negative for negativity sake? I vote with my wallet. Silent and most effective.

I’m kinda keen to see people buy him for a toy Sunstreaker if only so that it results in a toon Spinout. Probably look weird but it’d be cool.

It's not possible to vote with your wallet if you want both. :)

I would be in for a toy based Sunstreaker, then my 'toon Sunstreaker could go on eBay. I don't necessarily believe the MP-39+ number precludes a toy Sunstreaker, as clearly Takara makes it up as it goes along. Toy Sunstreaker could end up as MP-60, MP-39T, or MP-39THEREISNOPATTERNTOTHENUMBERS.

    Edit: missing word

:lolol  It gets kind of old though. I see a fig. Don't like it? I ignore it( or my wallet does). No point in going of negatory on it. Just don't buy. Takara ain't forcing us.

I'm getting this. If takara also releases a classic color MP Streaker( as long as the price is right) I'll get it too. If it's waaaaaay out there, I'll wait for the opportunity to get it like maybe cheap. Emphasis on opportunity.

Case in point, after 9 years of searching, manage to score a preowned Bandai Koenig Destroid (3rd version, more green version). It was the most expensive of the 3 versions but now I have it cheaper (almost like the original retail price). I was bawling back then that it was priced waaaaaaay out there then, now? I have it. Takara or Bandai, same dog different collar. If they can make money out of a mold they will. Sunstreaker is now like 3 versions already by November /December 2020).

It’s not unexpected. The imported figures cost a lot more. Like I was just checking robot kingdom and he’s $180 with the lowest possible shipping. So it’s like, am I gonna pay $60 more just to get it faster? Hell no.
