This is a red Primal recolor?

 

Ah, come on! I just want a MP Primal in Universe colours.

 

Well, this virtually guarantees a Flash Lioconvoy in the near future.

I would guess that depends on how well this sells.

 

wouldnt be surprised if theyre using this to test the waters first, granted this might do well overseas but we'll see

 

Red and gold, with a little flame design on the hands. There are two toys of it. The original ape Primal toy, and the Robot Masters Beast Convoy. Both toys are entirely clear plastic, but I can't imagine they'd be that insane with a masterpiece. It would pretty much be guaranteed to disintegrate.

 

Interesting that this is MP-38+, the BW2 movie / toy colored Primal, rather than MP-32.

So he'll probably have the same or similar accessories to that one.

 

I’ll be very interested to see the price on this one.

 

Of course it is. Burning Convoy is from the BWII movie, after all.

 

I expect Takara wants to do something else with Lio's tooling, so if anything I think this nudges Flash Lio ahead of Black Lio in the hierarchy of Lio redecos we should expect to see first.

I think a bigger hindrance to Flash or Black Lio being made is if Lio himself sells terribly.

Interesting, but makes sense, and is still different, so LOL. I was thinking it'd be MP-38B, but instead they go with the + designation. I wasn't expecting a sub-number of MP-32 since 38 exists.

In Japan, I'd expect the same as MP-38, unless this thing has even more accessories for some reason. The bigger question is will this be a retail release, or a TTMall exclusive that jacks up the price for those outside of Japan or Asia?

Guess this is to go with them doing Lio. Im guessing this is going to be a mall exclusive. MP38 sold like used tissue, doubt they would ever just reissue. So no new G1 till possibly April 

 

Man, I remember my BWII Burning Convoy. Most floppiest TF I had right out of the box. Can't stand straight and has to be in the back of my display cabinet. If it falls again, that shelf is doomed.

That said, I'll probably get this....

 

If it is PAINTED red and gold.

No way in hell I'd buy a Figure with both Translucent and Gold plastic. That would disintegrate with a touch.

 

38 was the toy-accurate Primal right? The one that came with extra bits?

 

If true this is a very strange use of the '+' suffix. It's not an anime or toy accurate repaint (although it sort of is both) of MP-38, it's a repaint of the same character which would usually receive a lettered suffix, like MP-38R for example.
