So having transformed him a few times, here are my thoughts on the figure... - Ironhide is definitely painted and it is awesome! I don't have Road Rage so I'm not sure if they are the same red but his color is very vibrant. Chrome on his bumpers are great as well. His headlights are colored with chrome with silver borders. - Articulation is ok, he has a swivel/ball joint combination for his neck so he can look up/down, side to side. Ratcheted shoulder and knee joints. He has arm and wrist swivels and bends at the elbow around 90 degrees. He has waist rotation, front waist panels can move up so his legs can move up 90 degrees but not so much going back. He bends and twist at the knee. He has ankle tilts as well. - About his transformation, be VERY CAREFUL as his clearance is very tight, specially at the torso and at the leg panels. There are certain ways that you would have to flip his panels to get it to fit correctly. Also, paint scuffing can occur during transformation so like I said, be very careful. Overall transformation is very intuitive and there are certainly some 'MP' moments like how his head goes from the back to the front, how his torso folds and compress. Overall, I think Takara did a wonderful job with him.
head looks way better in your pics. still not ideal but that's more because i'm not a fan of sunbow ironhide
Yup, one look and you'll know it's Ironhide. Pictures don't do this guy justice, he really looks so much better in hand regardless of the butt tires and hip kibble.
Also, Alfes2010's review is up! With more awesome pics! ??????????????????????????????? ??????? MP27 ???????? ?????????????????????????????????????????? ??????? MP27 ??????? 02 ??????
Thanks for the review and pics, Xdmisato! Looks like the articulation is more than ok, though - looks he's got almost as much as MP-10! Can't wait
still not a fan of this one. I think Ill get ratchet to have the mold, as I think my Igear Ironhide is still cool. I get what they were going for..just dont like this one much.
Drats! I didn't have time to pick mine up due to work commitments...will do so over the weekends. Cool review by the way and I appreciate the warning on paint scruffs...I tend to rush through my TFs' transformations recently...must be due to age!
Looks like xdmisato beat me to the review. So I am just gonna say, he is worth it, feels sturdy and solid and very very worth the money Enjoy some pics
They do not rotate at all. Only thing you can do it disassemble it and remove them if you want them gone, but even then that leaves big red holes where they were.
Well this just proves TT needs to hire someone half as good as you to take stock pictures. You make this thing look 1000 times better.
I don't have it in hand to confirm, but I'm pretty sure it's the wheels pegged into his backside that prevent that; seeing as they are all one piece.
I'm liking what I'm seeing right now and glad so far he doesn't have any huge QC issues and now I feel better not only getting Ironhide when I get enough ahead but also Ratchet. Thanks for the pics, reviews, and thoughts.
