Nope. As good as the MP is, the new leader class beats it for sure.
Didn't Shin posted a reminder to all of us about this? Sigh..
man...when you seperate him like that and just put rodimus by him, he looks like perfect scale in bot mode.
You're comparing apples to oranges, man. The CW UM doesn't beat anything about the MP because they were designed with different goals and for different markets.
Yeah, I think UM looks best separate from the s1 & 2 carbots. He'll look even better with an MP Kup, Springer, Arcee, and Blurr!
The new Leader doesn't beat it or even come close to matching it as a representation of the cartoon character, which is the point of the MP line. If you like the Leader (or the IDW comics) better, that's great for you. By all means, enjoy.
I just got this figure today and I fucking love it... just wish I could find a spot for his gun in bot mode... that's not in his hand..
Congrats, man. I feel you on the gun. Like Wheeljack and Bumblebee, I just put it away when not in use. Some guys hook it on his backpack but I don't care for that look.
I've seen pics of it tabbed in behind his shoulder, which of course I can't find now... I'll try when I get home to see if that works. Not a perfect solution, but yeah, considering it is a necessary part of his alt mode, they should have planned on bot mode storage (like MP-10!).
i am sure there is a way to store it in robot mode, and we are allll just missing it. i am waiting for the universal "facepalm" when we find out.
I agree... one of my annoyances with MP22 (and most MPs really) are the lack of a gun storage in robot mode.
I thought I've posted this a while back... ways I've found to put his gun away. I personall prefer the sideways wedging, it's much more stable and solid.
yeah, i have seen those two. the shoulder one looks meh, but it does have a little city commander look to it. and the butt one looks okay but i am sure there is another one somewhere... you sneaky boogers over there at takara!!!
Was fiddling with this guy this morning for the first time in a while and noticed a gap in his outer right thigh where the two parts have separated a bit in the direction of the universal hip joint. I hadn't noticed it before but I may have just missed it. Anyone else have this?
I just got mine and I've noticed that his left arm( the one without the insignia) is twisted and doesn't like to lock in place in bot mode. Anyone else have this issue?
I believe the pin went in crooked or didn't go all the way through.
Sorry, don't have any. It's pretty easy to describe though - the two parts of the white thigh have separated by about a mm or so, wider towards the universal joint. It just kind of split apart where the parts join up. I can push them back together but it opens right up, almost like one part is warped slightly and so the two halves don't connect flush.
Man, I can't even imitate either the sideway wedging or rear...the gun won't stay, lol.
Anyone have any issues with the white leg panel (front of leg panel) not wanting to sit flush with the side of the blue leg panel?
I've noticed mine has started to develop this issue over time.
As far as I can tell nothing it misaligned or off, but still the one leg won't seat the white panel without a gap forming between it and the outside leg
Anyone have any idea how to fix loose knee ratchets on this guy?
I just got a second Magnus and brand new out of the box his knee ratchets have so much play in them....
For knee ratchets, I guess you'd have to open him up and see what's wrong with the mechanism. For the white panel question you will have to post a picture, I am not able to understand brother...
My question, in general, would be how do you untab the cab rear wheel-wells from his back, going back to truck mode?
It appears the only way to grab and pull them out of their locked socket is to grab the rubber tires and pull out---not sure if mine was like that at first, but his wheels are sliiiiightly misaligned, and cannot tell if it's from the pulling or if that's how he is.
