Also, not all beetles were the same size, folks! The standard VW 1300 was tiny!! My guess is that's what the ol' Ark scanned at reawakening :)

Either way, it's up to the individual person. For everyone who won't buy him because of that reason, there's someone else that will. He will sell like the others and we'll continue to enjoy the future releases.

exactly. don't like it, don't buy it.

I'm getting the bumblebee figure I've always wanted. I've been fine with the possibilities of alt mode not scaling since hisui stated the intentions of the new MP line. This toy is pretty much exactly what I was expecting.

    100% agree.
It is incredible... people is still asking both modes be scale accurate. With pics of real beetles (or dinosaurs, WTF!!???) ...and complain.... SO NERD.
THIS is what you will get, not other thing

I disagree, as the VW Beetle isn't as small as G1 portrayed it to be--it's a big car!

As I said above, I understand why things are the way they are. I'm just surprised, and a little disappointed, that after all the hard work that went into making the current cars life-like, licenses and all, being possibly set off track with a very small Bumblebee. Again, I'm cool with fudging the size (a bit), but a grossly undersized VW Beetle won't look as cool as a full sized one or one tweaked just a tad, just sayin'.

Cliffjumper, should he happen, is going to looking even worse:eek:

Good point actually. Not sure what would he be dubbed as though... considering that Bumper and Hubcap are Bee/Cliff-related, but both are yellowish/orange releases of said molds. The Red Bumblebee deco from G1 doesn't seem to have a name on TFWiki... and looking at the Animated Bee model entry... same deal. No "Red Bee" on it... other than Cliff of course.

Yep. I'm totally fine with the scale...anyone should know that some sacrifices had to be made on some points, so I am willing to live with that. He looks awesome, and the fact that he comes with Daniel is pure win. Sure it's probably to make up for the size=price ratio when compared with other masterpieces, but as long as they look the part, I'm good.

bot mode size is PERFECT! i love how TT is sticking to its guns with that. couldn't be happier. i have a feeling the car mode will be a tad small (but not as small as some here might be thinking), but bee was always shown small in car mode too...yeah it won't vehicle scale correctly with the datsuns or the lambos (are they even correct size to each other in vehicle mode?)...but it won't look "TOO" off to me anyways. MP botmode scale FTW! i'm also super happy Huff is taller (that was a gamble buy in so many ways!)

And what happens when he is re-released in TRU later as a part of this series?

I think a scaled down realistic VW is fine. It still makes for a great stand alone toy to display in car mode even if its wont completely scale with the other autobots. I'd rather have a realistic car mode than a chibi one and I think having a scaled down realistic one kind of is the in between (between an in scale realistic car mode and a chibified on). In any event, as long as the small size doesn't increase the QC problems or fragility of the figure i will be very happy with MP Bee.

Don't buy it if you dont want it. Hasbro is rereleasing him tl capitolize on AOE this year. You really think Takara or Hasbro is going to invest money in redoing MP grimlock to slightly enlarge him?

Oh, I want it. God willing, I'll have it.
Besides, didn't they re-do the Seeker mold?
But I fully expect some of those here being dicks to wail in the streets.

Clue is in the MP number designation. MP10 started the scale reset and yeah....MP11 fits the scale chart perfectly.

I really hope the irony isn't lost on you here. 10 releases after the reset and ppl are still stamping their feet and slamming doors about the line following a scale/size chart. Whatever floats your boat man but you can't say you didn't see this coming.

I'd take that bet, I'm sure it will have more bells & whistles than just the same mold bigger.

Grimlock is going to be a huge seller once the movie hits and the dinosaur fever hits. They would be missing out on a golden opportunity if they didn't take advantage.

    Newsflash, motherfuckers.

The MP cars so far are too big to match scale with MP10.

And I'm not the one treating others like crap over the the strict scale of a toy. If anything, I'm open to fudging.
