fuck those overpriced toys

 

When the super good prices at HLJ / AE are available for early PO on official MP stuff, they are like 50 $ shipped, so not too much more than KOs. After that though, it's like 60 - 80$ before shipping for me... Fortunately, I know the trick now, so at least Wheeljack and Bumblebee are on order.

Was considering getting a KO of this or Prowl last night, as these seem extremely good for the price, but decided not yet, not yet... very tempting though.

 

Actually Action Robo offers about the same price, but has yet to sell out of preorders. Plan to get my Wheeljack from them actually. To give you an idea, Eva Purple MP-10 Prime is only $234.00.

Wheeljack is $58.99, and $18 to ship to the states.

Also, they only take transactions via Paypal, I believe.

So wheeljack there is about $77 shipped to the US, bbts is about $88.
TRU might be $55 (+ headache).
And then the KO will be $40 shipped before TRU even announces.

Got my package tonight...Couldn't be happier   I feel kinda terrible all of my MP cars are KO's but TT/Hasbro has gotten 10'$ of thousands of dollars from me over the years. A little break is nice..

Still have x1 gold chrome missle launcher from my Prowl if anyone winds up somehow with an extra silver chrome - PM me for trade.

 

Not quite the same gold as YotH (brass, maybe?), but 100 % satisfied for what I paid. Paint apps in altmode are sharp, but the paint doesn't always follow the mold. Also minor paint "misses" on the face, especially the eyes. That's cool though. Sorry, too lazy to set up lights for close ups.

Edit- paint on the foot/taillights is a perfect example.

 

I bought the original Takara prowl, for $43. Now it's 80 everywhere. Bluestreak I held off on, and it's followed the same pattern. Takara isn't losing a penny from me buying ko streak, coz I'd never buy officials at $80...

 

Looks better than my official mp sideswipe... Lol. I'm excited, my ko streak just passed customs in San Fran and is on it's way now! Should arrive tomorrow

 

Gun fits great. But I thought I was going to break it trying to unhinge one of the legs from altmode.

 

Mine came in today. I got one gold cannon and one silver. WTH? Ohh well. The alt mode is good but it looks like I got a bit of glue from the passenger side rearview window across the hood to the windshield.

Mine arrived saturday. I got 1 gold and 1 silver too, wanna trade 1? Either is good for me as long as they match in the end. I honestly cant find a single flaw in this 1. No bad paint, nothing floppy, holds weapon, seems spot on to me.

 

I'm interested... How much dies the shipping cost for these guys? I'm wondering how much it would cost for that EVA Prime.

 

58 plus 18 shipped comes out to almost 80.

Once the MP cars are released, usually within a week some foreign sellers are offering them for 60-65 with free shipping.

I'd be glad to swap a silver for a gold.   Where abouts are you in central Ohio? I'm in Holmes County. I'll post a pick later of the glue issue. I just transformed him to bot and had some issue with the fender piece. It seems a little glue may have made its way in the joint. Overall though I love the guy. Same thing here with solid tight joints and great gun fit. It looks like I'll be wetsanding and reshooting the affected side.

 

Just got mine 35 min ago... Perfect. Head perfect, paint perfect. Joints and tabs tight. Only issue was one of the freebie launchers is not properly lined up along the seam, so it sits odd on the shoulders... Other than that, aweeeesome!

 

That sucks bro. Hopefully that glue can be removed without harm.

I also still have x1 gold launcher I'd love to trade for a silver to have a matching set for my Prowl..... Bueller?

Quick mini-review--

Been messing with it for a few hours... Ko bluestreak is really good. As I said before, I have official prowl and sideswipe, ko goldswipe, and now ko bluestreak. His build quality is superior to goldswipe, and is damn near equal to the official prowl... Paint apps are clean and tight, on the face, Nissan logo, lights, etc. ONLY difference I can find between the two is official prowl's gun tab is so tight, he doesn't have to close his hand to hold his gun tight. Ko streak has a little trouble holding his gun, but with a closed hand, it's fine.

Mine has no glue issues, paint bubbles, etc.
