MP-12+ went so far in cartoon accuracy as to make the soft plastic parts like the elbow joints and hip joints white, to match the arms and legs. For some reason, they haven't gone quite so far with 17+, as in the cartoon that area around his neck should be white, as should the joints in his upper 'elbow'.
@BWfan86 , I'm sure @Sam meant that he and I already brought up and griped a bit about Prowl+'s black collar and bicep joints back when he was revealed, while the gun screws are new. As far as how this could be laid at Hasbro's feet, I've no idea, but Red Alert+ and Sideswipe+'s decos were spot on and were wide TT releases. But this guy's a TT Mall exclusive and one of the rare instances of Hasbro US distributing him immediately upon release, so I think it's not unreasonable to assume there's some kind of involvement there. And Hasbro's been known in the past to make odd deco choices, leave off paint apps entirely, throw on a nice fat CE stamp, or even retool a bit with their MP releases (which is why the Hasbro MP Hot Rod release had qc issues with its arms), so there is precedent. Still, I'm really looking forward to this guy. I'd much rather have him than not
Seriously i still don't really quite like what TakaraTomy is doing, which is reusing all the existing Masterpiece mold, just slight paint changes and they called it cartoon accurate but oh well.
I wouldn't worry about it. Doesn't seem to be enough room to fit a 44 in the purple bit scribbled out.
That what I initially thought, but it would be easier to fit in 2 numbers over 2 numbers and the plus symbol
It's from the Hasbro packaging. Maybe they were going to use a different number (MP-11?) but changed their minds.
wonder what the point of blotching that out was. You can see the function and Nissan in the copyright, so it's not really hiding anything.
i hope they manage to bring dinobot and beast megatron add a affordable price i dont care if they came without the hidro painting stands i just want the main figure i dont want the light and sound gimmicks i can live with the old toy deco and without extras no golden disk, no stand i just want a chance to got dinobot and beast megatron otherwise i dont think i could get them they are too expensive too much please hasbro do it ...... please if some beast wars fans going to sdcc ask them
1.) The special paint jobs really complete the figure. 2.) if Hasbro Asia cancelled dinobot (presumably for small/ unsafe parts), I doubt Hasbro proper is goingnto release this guy. 3.) Price may be a barrier to a domestic release in B&M stores
they could release him as a online exclusive for hasbrotoyshop , amazon, entairtenment earth ect, i am preety sure a lot of people would want the mold without that paint something similar to the henkei mold
Color me confused. What was the point in the purple blotches? Did they forget that we’ve known about MP17+ for quite awhile now? I don’t see anything there that we don’t already know.
I don’t understand the reveals with random areas purpled out either. I’ve seen them scattered throughout the past year and the actual spoiler info is never really blocked out
Usually it blocks out the figure itself so we can't see what it looks like. This decided to block out the name and number. Maybe there's something specific about those that gives away a detail we don't know about yet? Or the guy's super late to the party.
