Wasn't the last reissue something like $180 retail? And RobotKingdom usually offsets their base price by their high shipping cost, at least from what I've seen.

Yeah I don't get it either totally, though I think @Sam may have explained it there. MP-10 was also reissued a year or so before the time MP-44 was announced I think?

Agreed. There is not much that can be done with this character other than a (likely) toon accurate paint job.

Now, they just need to release RatBat and I am good.

I mean, the previous MP-13 reissue was $180. At least that's what I paid from a NA retailer :lol

I’ve found myself itching for a masterpiece G1 figure, particularly a Decepticon but I just haven’t felt motivated to shell out so much money for a toy. Given the prices for masterpiece figures these days, $110 is practically a steal, especially for freakin’ Soundwave. I’m in.

Hate to question you, but you sure? I could've sworn in an MP-44 article the designer said it was after Megatron that they began work on OPv3.

No doubt about it, that'd make Blaster nearly impossible to pass up! Yet it only reminds me how weird it is that we've yet to see a promo pic of OPv3 with MP-36 or that they're often willing to mix and match new releases with older molds and outdated decos in promo shots (Inferno was sometimes shown with og Red Alert, Sunstreaker was sometimes shown with og Sideswipe, MP-21 was used in shots for Bluestreak+, "anime" Shockwave+ was shown with toy deco Megatron+, etc). Like you say, it's definitely within the realm of possibility that we could get a Blaster in 2020 or later and he'd be shown on the back of the box with Soundwave from 2013.

I might have misread it, but Im pretty sure plans for Prime 3.0 were already in the works during them working on Megatron
Ah i did misread, Prime started back in 12/16 Megatron was pretty much done by then. Right again Dean:)

I missed out on the last reissue, so I can't wait. My YOTG version is taunting me with it's potential and crappy colors.

    Probably a good $75

If Siege leaders have the heft and build slightly less than a 2007 movie voyager figure, it wouldn’t surprise me that the price would increase by that much given the plastic amount

I hope we also get a reissue of Soundblaster, since that one seems to be sitting around ~$300 on the aftermarket.

Ninja'd - by YOU! Haha! Yeah, found the article ;)

It's good to keep in mind how long it takes to develop these figures. MP-44 started in Dec '16 and won't be released until Aug '19!

Yeah, I thought that was interesting, we're basically looking at the work from 2 years ago with this year's releases. The tapes were released in 2017, realistically there's a chance we just might be seeing a Blaster in the near future. Besides the smaller demand in Japan it also explains some of the pace of the line.
