I have the Hasbro Thundercracker and it's kind of, eh. I feel it's worth maybe a little less than what I paid for it, so I don't feel too ripped off.

I need a Starscream to complete the trifecta but I really don't want to drop $200 on one if he's comparable in quality/feel to Thundercracker. I'm agnostic in regard to the coronation set.

As far as paint/plastic quality/overall feel, is MP-11 Starscream "worth it" to you? Or does it feel similarly cheap to Thundercracker?

If you're not that excited about the MP Thundercracker, you probably won't feel you've got your money's worth on an MP-11 Starscream. Thundercracker is essentially just a repaint of Starscream, so there you have it.

On the other hand, if you like Starscream, and you want the best representation of him that's available - MP-11 Starscream is well worth the money. He was for me, anyway.

Starscream was a must for me since I love him so much, but I think I like Thundercracker more, as a toy anyway. The colours just stand out for me, whereas Starscream is mainly grey.
I actually love the Sonicboom thing on Thundercracker's fins, it just adds charisma and more depth to the character imo.

But Starscream is great too, I don't regret the $180 one bit.

    ^I totally agree.

Having both version, I think MP-11 material is a little bit better than Hasbro TC, but not by much. Paint quality, at least on mine, MP-11 is nicer and sharper, much much better than Hasbro TC.

This. MP-11 is my favourite Transformer ever and is inarguably the definitive version of Starscream, but if you weren't impressed with Thundercracker, you probably won't be impressed with MP-11

I agree SS's colour look better but IMO get him only if you're a fan of the character.

I have MP-03, Takara Walscream (Japanese white Walmart Starscream), and two MP-11 Starscreams. (I really like the character, obviously.) As much as I like the MP-11 mold as a revised update to the figure, the flimsier kid's toy plastic kinda bothers me to a degree, not to mention some pet peeves of mine like a lack of ankle tilt and the turbine-chest/shoulder pieces still not being able to be tabbed in securely. The original MP-03 molds have a lovely collector's display piece allure about them, and the paint deco is still attractive to me. Would have loved Screamer's classic smirk on his face for all the molds too.

I've actually been finding Sunstorm for 20-60 dollars less than Starscream. Best EBay price for Starscream, for example, is 199.99 shipped from Japan. Sunstorm is available on Amazon for 169; Starscream on Amazon is like 230 shipped for the cheapest.

As for the quality, I did notice a slight difference between the Hasbro and Takara version of the figure. However, the overall presentation of MP-11 makes it stand-out significantly!

TRU's TC goofy decals detract so much from the overall figure
