because many of us have mp10 in my case i already have four versions of him, an opinion on any topic is a healthy one for collectors and we are here cuz we are fans of the toys and the brand but doesn't mean we all need to agree on the toy at hand, it is ok to have a negative opinion on something is it not? Or do we live in a world where we love something and only positive discussions are considered right? would seem kind of silly.
i think one of the reasons is because transformers and ghostbusters have absolutely nothing in common. ghostbusters was a silly comedy that involved catching ghosts so some people feel that it is hardly a good fit with transforming robots at war from another planet. In all honesty though transformers was a silly cartoon LITERATELY made to sell toys and movies make most of their money through merchandising if you wanna include the real ghostbusters cartoon along with it, they sold toys for them too. In all honesty I'm with you i don't see why people are so upset about it. People keep saying "OH ITS JUST A QUICK SHAMELESS CASH GRAB!!!" ..... Well yes, it is. There's nothing subtle about it. They're trying to profit off the nostalgia from 2 franchises of the 80's that have surprisingly managed to stay relevant after all these years (whether it be in a good or bad light), but at least they're going that extra mile to show that they care (whether they do or not is anyone's guess) with the whole paint job and retooling roller. They could've just painted the mp-10 white and slapped a ghostbusters logo sticker and shipped it by itself (chancesarepeoplestillwouldveboughtitbutthatsbesidesthepoint.) at the end of the day the executives at hasbro (not to sure how japan feels about ghostbusters.) noticed they turned the same age as ghostbusters and thought it would be cute to do something like this with optimus prime, ectotron, and tie-in comic for the fans since, chances are, they grew up with both franchises. Don't like it don't buy it, simple as that. No need to rain down on others who are actually looking forward to it.

Better to have not typed anything at all. The internet is a funny thing... i'd like you to try your aproach in real life. Go to anything you disagree with, open your mouth, and spew negativity about it to those that are there to support it. Any subject, any group... in real life. People here actually want it, or wish some things were changed here and there... but you are the only one coming into an mp10-variant thread and spewing that mp10 should be left dead. Get over yourself - this is the reaction you originally intended to receive when you first dumped that comment in here, right? I want it, I seen a thread titled mp10 ghostbusters and just had to see it. You want the mp10 mold retired after your 4, but seeing this thread, you just had to come in and state you want it RIP'd and left alone... sheesh, man. I'm not telling you what to do - but maybe you could just check this thread off your list, and stop watching it then? I know I seen 2 variants... one had no slime green splatter?
Thanks for the merge, btw. My question to you (and others that support more mp10 releases in oddball variant offerings) is, would you like to see hastak attempt a transperant glow in the dark or blacklight receptive mp10, like a glowing ghostbusters style mp10? Ever since the slimmer/kremzeek retool talk, unless they do an exclusive titan class stay puff... this would be a a great mp10 offering, if feasible. Would almost look prototype colors, but in clear. Hell, they did some weird thing with yotg optimus already.
I’m all in on this version. That Roller is the tipping point. You can live off a single kidney. Then there’s dialysis machine if you ever need to offload both kidneys. If Megatron was here he’d mantain the peace alright. PEACE THROUGH TYRANNY.
KR ended right as TF was starting, though in some ways KITT's impossible conversions (T-top to convertible, Silly Popout Mode) made him the original Transformer, if a limited one. So that might be a uniquely appropriate "passing the torch in kids' sci-fi" crossover...
