I finally got myself the TRU Masterpiece Optimus Prime, and while I have to admit that I still think that MP-01/MP-04 is a superior rendition, this new version is really great. However, I think that it is lacking a few accessories, and I was wondering if anyone out there know if anyone has made any upgrade sets for MP-10? Namely, I really would like a better Ion Cannon. I love the one that came with MP-01, and I wish that MP-10's looked better. The fact that the weapon transforms is cool, but I want a better looking version of it. I want one that is both 'Toon accurate, and one that is G1 Toy accurate. Also, I think one of MP-10's (and MP-04's) biggest flaws is that there is not a place for Roller to connect when it is in the Trailer like there was for the G-1 toy, so Roller just rolls around in there. Other than that, I would like someone to make the missiles to fit into the Trailer's Gun Pod, as well as the three parts of the fuel pump to fit onto the Pod's base and also onto Roller. I think that the two better Ion Cannons, Missile Attachments, Port for Roller and parts for the Refueling station would really make the Toy a Masterpiece. Has any 3rd Party ever made any of these items?
Yeah, this is kind of annoying. I tried like everything to make him "fit" into the notched corners of those... I guess you'd call them platforms in the trailer. I was hoping that they'd lock him into place. No luck with that. Guess we know now why he's Roller.
The one accessory I really wish MP-10 came with: Huffer But I would totally buy a 3rd party Prime gun that looked a little less stubby.
There's the Reprolabel set, which I ordered because, as nice as MP10 is, the Hasbro version's trailer is rather plain.
Just get the ion rifle from one of the original MP OPs. Fits the new MP mold well, I think. The Reprolabels sticker set is also recommended. Aside from that, those are the only real accessories I can think of for now.
