I'd be happy with more annual MP molds!
....And as if by magic, I've just got a balance payment request from Kapow ..... can't be long now then!
These are all now technically reissued right?
MP-10 regular TT reissue
MP-11 Hasbro TrU Exclusive
MP-12 Hasbro Asia Release
MP-14 Released as MP-14C technically I'd count that.
In my mind it all worked out in the end.
MP-14 and MP-14C aren't the same thing at all. Different deco, different coloured heads.
Whats new in the MP 12 hasbro asia reissue?
A new coin case. If I remember correctly...
I'm reconsidering if I should buy him even though I had many chances. I don't know. I wasn't so attached to his character anyway other than his car mode
Oh well I caved and ordered him anyway
I'm hoping (but not expecting) an improved, matching red paint scheme! And panels that line up better together in car mode.
I'd buy that for a dollar.
The rumors were intermixed. The rumors for the Hasbro Asia reissue of MP-10, MP-11, MP-12, and MP-14 got mixed with the Takara reissue of MP-10
MP-10: TRU reissue with Key to Vector Sigma accessory
MP-11: Takara version made/reissued for the Chinese market, with a different-colored head and had a tight torso unlike the original ($200)
MP-12: the first of the post MP-10 MPs that was reissued, with the new face and better paint ($79)
MP-14, a pretty silent reissue, showed up several months after the Japanese stores sold out, identical to the first run ($79)
Also, MP-5G, which never saw a Japanese release
MP-12 and MP-14 are usually referred to as "second runs", but were never available from Japanese retailers and only from stores that get supplied by Hasbro Asia. They also came with collector coins, unlike those bought direct from Japan (Sideswipe's coin even has "Sideswipe" on it rather than "Lambor")
... I haven't D: Has everyone else here who bought from Kapow been sent one?
Whats the release date on MP 12 Lambor reissue?
...and a I finally have a Lambor in my sweaty hands.
No idea if it differs at all to the original release, so here's some photos directly out of the box, no transforming (I'm at work, so that will have to wait until this evening)
All the panels look the same painted red to me. Un-painted plastic underneath is a different red (as you'd expect). No idea if those door panels will align better after a transform.
Thank you for posting pictures! My biggest concern is if the shade of red on all the pieces matches. Sounds like yours does!?! I didn't want this to be like Bumblebee because I plan on having Sideswipe in alt mode a lot.
As far as I can tell, it does match.
The spray painting on one of the corners of a front side panel is a little off, causing some black to come through. There's some splashes of pain underneath too. but I suspect both of those are going to vary toy to toy.
Thanks for posting pictures while at work, Chiller. From those pix, it appears the paint is matching up better than the original release. Only question is if those panels will line up better after a proper transform from bot mode. We will await your analysis and moar pix! Now get back to work!
Since Chiller was nice enough to post pictures and give an opinion on the paint. I feel like I'm now taking less of a chance and have MP-12 on order.
Mine just shipped today
This is the Asia Re-release? Where are folks getting him from already? Got mine on PO at Toy Dojo and eagerly awaiting him...although with the Quakewave delay I need to buy something else for the free shipping! :/
I purchased mine from MP-12 - Masterpiece Sideswipe - Lambor - Asia Exclusive Reissue | TF-DIRECT
Apparently mine is coming from China directly.
