Were his legs flared like that? It looks great

My one criticism may change when he has paint
It clashes with the less cartoony torso. But again paint may fix that

I hate this and think it's a lame project! Oh wait *re-reads first post* I wasn't supposed to comment, was I?

I kid I kid. This looks really good. Are the legs longer? They look longer. Does that throw of his proportion next to other bots? Do you plan on adding more greeblies to get more of a mp10 look or keep it simple for a more toon look? I can't wait to see the transforming version.

These G1 legs are actually the exact same height as the original MP-10 legs.

There's always the option of adding more intricate "toy style" details since that's just simple surface level stuff and doesn't require any real dimensioning, but I don't plan to right now. I'm focusing more on just trying to get them to have a simple transformation to work in truck mode. Later on down the line I can always just add a bunch of greebles to it if I feel like it, but at that point I'm usually already working on the next idea that pops into my head.

Messed around in Tinkercad and came up with a more "detailed" set of the legs. They came out fine, but I don't plan on printing these out just because they would likely take even longer with all of the additional surface details. But for anyone wondering how a more "toy" compatible version might look, this can just be a proof of concept thing.

Painted sample! Didn't get a perfectly matching blue, but it's close enough to get a general impression. Going to run another higher quality print tonight for easier post-processing.

Yeah, all in TinkerCad. I'm going to try and tweak it a little more in Fusion 360 as far as adding additional fillets and things, but I'm still learning the basics of Fusion right now. The interface is very non-intuitive.

Looking good! What kind of printer are you using?

I'm still surprised that the legs are the same length as the stock ones. Maybe MP10 doesn't actually have short stumpy legs but they just look like it because of their shape.

I'm on a Creality Ender 3. It's been handling everything I've thrown at it like a champ...

    Update 1.22.19:

Reworked my Heavy/Scratch: - MP-10 G1 Leg Set WIP and came up with a new item for sale. This G1 leg upgrade kit snaps directly onto the stock MP-10 Optimus legs and feet to give good ol' MP-10 a clean cartoon look for folks like me who dig the clean look of all the new Masterpiece Optimus options on the market, but are not able (or simply don't want) to replace the MP-10 that most of us already have.
The leg panels CAN STAY ON DURING TRANSFORMATION; however the feet covers must come off (they are a simple clip on piece that are easy to install and remove) for truck mode. The leg panels are not trailer compatible though.

Anyone interested in this kit can visit my Shapeways store Ultraman Zoffy's R&D Lab by ultramanzoffy - Shapeways Shops (note: their costs are VERY high for this kit, sadly). I might also be able to do a very, very limited direct sale run of these, but only for folks familiar with 3D print qualities that are willing to do all of the sanding/painting themselves.

Awesome work! Would you be willing to try an idea out? What if you made the legs slimmer and the foot smaller? If the foot could fit inside of the leg (to give the appearance that the leg is coming out from within rather than sitting in front) I think that it might give it more of a "masterpiece" look to it. Similar to the MS Prime leg pic I've uploaded. Just an idea though. :)

Man, I liked your original idea better. My junker Prime has no legs. :(

I can easily add that look onto the leg set for someone serious about buying a set.

The non-transforming replacement legs are still a thing though! lol... I only came up with the clip-on set as an option for folks who aren't into disassembling their figures to install things.

New slimmer version of the G1 Leg/Foot add on set! Options are a good thing. =)

God, that is fucking beautiful! If only you could make the legs a bit longer and more in proportion.
