Hi tfw2005 members or guest. I am about to buy masterpiece megatron and i wanted your personal opinions on it (sorry if i havent gotten to your thread there are just too many of them). Is it any ood for stopmotions? I plan to renact the battle between megs and ops from the old school movie (that means i need clasics hotrod too)
Its a good figure, not worth 100 but you prob wont find it any cheaper. I think its mostly just for show/Display. Its kinda fragile... But if you got the money and really like meg i say get it.. i did..
i got mine from china 100 shipped.figure is awesome but fragile. just dont get it from d-prestige-transformers he screwed me for 2 months
My personal opinion is that it's a great toy. Just be careful with it; I haven't personally had any problems with mine, but I know a lot of other people have had problems. By the way; if you do get him, do yourself a favour and get the Justittoys accessory pack as well; it gives him the stock and silencer barrel the original G1 Megatron had. And DAMN, it's impressive!
I Agree , it just feels so fragile in your hands.. I bought mine and have yet to transform him into his gun.. I attempted to transform him but the joints were so tight i was afraid it would snap.. It is a great figure though if you dont mind keeping him in Bot mode.. I also got the upgrade kit for him , that's also a great piece to add if you get him.. I wouldnt pay more then 100$ for the megatron though..
Only if you manhandle it. If you don't try to transform it like a Kiddie line toy, you'll have no problems. It's a great toy, but definitely more for display. It would be pretty difficult to make a stop motion video with it.
He's a nice, if flawed, figure. But I don't think he's quite up to being used as a stop-motion puppet. He doesn't really have the sturdiness or range of motion for it, and unless you want to tear him apart and cram an armature in there, you're going to be fairly limited in the kind of poses you can get. But then, I guess that's pretty much the case with most Transformers. The Revoltech Megs has great posability, but the ratcheting joints will make your animation a bit choppy.
He's a fine toy but would be a lil hard to do stop-mo with. If you decide to go with him a classics hotrod is not up to scale with the MP's and would look silly in a stop-mo film with them. I'd suggest using the Hasbro Rodimus Alternator. He's G1 reminiscent, and big enough to look close to being to scale with the MP's. Now you're going to make me set that scene up and take a pic. Thats another awesome thing about MP Megs, he comes with the gun he killed Prime with! man I'm a big geek. I'm already done with the pics Yeah just from setting that one shot up I can tell you MP-05 is going to be a PITA to do the stop-mo with. That being said he's still worth having in your collection. The MP-05 Upgrade kit is a must too.
If you don't buy Masterpieces to play with , then you'll probably love him. He's almost like a badass 3d image coming to life IMO
Yeah, I think that's the bottom line. He's an AWESOME if pricey display piece, and should be treated as such. I paid £69 pounds for him (over $100) and whilst I don't think he's worth it in a pure economic sense, I'd utterly pay it again. He's even cooler in person than he is in the pics.
thanks thanks a lot guys, but next time dont describe something to the point i will want to do anything to get the figure. i am half way there, i got $55 and he is only $110 (im buying him off of tfsouce)
Yes TF Source is the way to go. As was said though, he not a toy, more like an articulated statue (might be an ironic statement).
In Transformers the Animated Movie Rodimus got in the way of Megs vs Prime and because of that Megs got the upper hand and shot Prime with some lethal shots.
i know that but its like he is randomly saying things. rodimus only got in the way, megatron was the one who killed prime
