so now his gold chrome will match his feet when they tarnish ? that things looks awful. Should have just made him the Blue Legs version if they wanted to set him apart from the first release, didn't have to go and gold chrome him..

Mp-1L was released a few months before mp-10. Maybe the same can be said for megatron

Actually, if anything I think this increases the chance of a Megatron V2 coming soon - it's not like this version is going to be competing with it, especially in these colors.

 

I'm satisfied with my original MP-05 Megatron.

 

I would love to see Megatron v2 be released as soon as MP-25, and certainly do hope that ends up being the case.

Not that I'd want to wait this long for a new Megatron, but it would be pretty cool if his new version turned out to be MP-38.

I seem to be one of the few who just... don't care. But not in a bad way. I'm still getting him, I just don't feel excited about it.

 

This reminds me of The Golden Lagoon. I like how well the gold and purple go together.

 

Wow....I was almost considering getting this due to what I believed would be a new, shiny chromed finish in silver. Between the Ronald McDonald Sunstorm, Migraine inducing Soundwave and now this, I'm saving a lot of money on Masterpiece figures!

 

I'd buy a gold MP Optimus instead.

 

I'd actually get this if it wasn't $200. $100 I'd consider but for now the original still looks better (I should check mine for that rust problem people seem to have; wierd).

 

Hopefully this will mean we may have a MP Megatron version 2 coming down the pipeline.

When MP-05 was released I didn't buy him. Never been that interested in gunformer Megatron (even in the 80's) and I didn't really like what I saw. I bought him on the second run, never transformed him, never managed to get good poses out of him, and always feeling the need to support him in some way. I finally sold him two years ago.


Nevertheless, I like the look of this. A goldcolored Megatron. Definitely see the charm. A straight up re-release (or is that re-re-re-release?) would've been boring. This, is interesting.

I'm not going to buy it (all the objections to the mold still stand and at a higher price tag it's even more too expensive), but I hope that one of the better photographers does and treats us a a lot of good pictures. I think it will look really pretty and very unique.
