Well I got every single version of this figure and I got this one I practically came in my pants when I saw the detail.

I went crazy and picked up this piece. There was a rattling in the box. Prime's right foot was detached at the ball joint. Pretty lame but it looks like it may be okay. Haven't removed him from his prison yet to reattach.

    The best part?
    File card: C1 1980/2010

Not as cool as 1984 or 1987 as far as the TF universe is concerned but 1980 is my birth year. Freaking awesome luck imo.

I love the purple/plum look as well.

I'll try to get pics up later once I charge up my camera.

I just got mine today from TFSource, so far so...big? So the paint smear on Prime's lower left side of his torso is intentional, right?

Yeah the paint app is intended. At least its on every prime ive seen. Don´t know why they did it, but i was a bit confused when mine came and i saw it but its normal ;)

It's supposed to be his "battle damage." I use quotations here since he looks pretty clean after his fight with Megatron. He needs far more burns, cracks, and damage to fit the death scene IMO. Probably my biggest disappointment about the figure. Seems to be the norm for Hasbro/Takara. We didn't want battle damage on the 20th Anniversary Hasbro Prime, but we got it anyhoo. Looks out of place. When we need it for a figure like this, we hardly get much at all. Very strange.

^A late reply to this thread...it's not a "zombie" thread, is it? :) D)

Yes, IMHO..hopefully this is the last we'll ever see of this mould. It's been done to "death" Pun intended! ;)  :lol

I'm liking the clear trailer and the lighter "teal" use on his limbs. Bought in a couple of months time...

Oh man, your use of puns tickled me to death!

As for the mold, TakaraTOMY could do me a favor and make a Powered Convoy from the mold. I fear that will never happen though.

^Really? Haha, thanks I guess? :lol

He looks very sharp, bottom line!

In my country, It's going for less than the "suggested" retail price of USD$250..:D

I have this sitting in my office and still haven't had a chance to open it yet, but from all of the photos I've seen, I think it looks fantastic. I would rather it be clean like this than "battle damaged."

For all those people that wish there was "battle damage," just throw it down a pavement road at a shallow angle like you're skipping a stone in a pond and watch it tumble and roll as it hits the coarse concrete.

You'll get your scratches and cracks that you wanted Takara to put on this. :thumbs2:

EDIT: Just opened this guy up last night. AMAZING! Although all of the joints are SUPER tight...I thought I would break something. I gotta say the quality craftsmanship in this one outdoes the original MP-04. Loving the clear trailer too. Well worth the money.

    MP-01
    20th Anniversary
    20th Anniversary DVD Orange
    MP-02
    MP-01 Black
    MP01 Sleep

Still no Shattered Glass or "Dark Awakening" decos! They must be slacking!
Just kidding- so tired of this mold. Though this does look really slick.

well ive just bought this guy i think hes amazing and if you want more damage, well play with it lots and the paint chips etc will add to the apearance, or give him a chalk wash, get some black chalk pastel scrape with a craft knife mix with water and washing up liquid, give the figure a seal coat with some johnsons klear or future, then put on the wash, let dry take excess off with damp q tip./cotton bud, then seal with a mist coat of matt varnish or leave as is and wash off when you want too. awsome, ill be happy with mine as is though, you could easily imagine this as a prime from the other side wandering through the timeless spirit world seeking to stave of evil spirits from those autobots alive in the physical world or a spirit guide for magnus or rodimus, its awsome.

So I have a few of the mp-01 molds
    Black/ magnus/mp-04 and mp-04s

They are all mib I only opened them up about ten years ago to remove the batteries after my hasbro mp1 corroded.
Any idea how much this will affect the price if I go to sell them?
