just recieved my bigbadtoystore.com update and saw that the MP04 convoy and trailer was coming out again and before i spend the money on it i had a quick question. i first recieved it when it first came out and was told by several people that there was QA issues with it like the legs locking up and not wanting to transform properly(like mine did) and soemthing with the chest panels...so the question is ....will these still be an issue to be concerned with or will they be better this time around??
Is this release a reprint or just old stock? If it's a reprint then who knows what the quality will be. If it's just old stock then any old problems will still exist. But I've never heard of problems with the MP Prime mold (except when Hasbro used lower quality materials in the DVD edition) so I think MP-04 should be fine and I've preordered him from BBTS also.
The legs were never an issue in the first place. I think the problem is that most people only squeezed the fuel tanks to unlock the legs. You need to pinch them and push in the lower half of the tanks while pulling out the top half. Works for me like a charm every time.
The 3 things people got all pissy about were; 1. Window misalignment 2. Red paint isnt exactly red 3. No roller When you actually have the thing in your possession you'll forget all about its faults. I think most who brought those things up were people who were upset that Takara didnt release it with the trailer first.
MP-04 is better cause the trailer is made by Takara. but if you get the trailer made by Justitoys it's more accurate to the original show, and it also comes with Roller.
I think the KO Trailer looks much better, but it doesn't open up like MP-04's. And it is still a high quality item.
JustiToys trailer did not come with a roller, and did not open up. There is a high quality "upsized" G1 Trailer, that comes with all the accessories, hose, pump, nozzle, missiles, and Roller. It is Identical to G1 just made bigger to fit MP Prime. They pop up on ebay from time to time. I know a few guys have them and love them.

I have the MP-04 trailer and it looks great. It looks much better in person than in the photos. It is painted and the bright silver paint looks great, looks more like a model display piece than a toy. The stripes and autobot symbol(this is raised) on the side are also painted on, its not just a sticker. I have never seen any of the other trailers in person but they look like grey plastic with no paint. Can anyone confirm this?
