Interesting. At least it's not another repaint of MP-01.:)

Too bad I don't think I'll ever see a MP G1 Megatron outside of the near possibility of the Classics line.:(

    Hm...
Takara could release a MP Optimus Prime, an MP Ultra Magnus, and designs for MP Starscream. But they haven't even released MP Megatron designs?
    Conspiracy here.

This is a nice surprise. Looks kinda plain for the pics but I guess those are cartoon references. I cant wait for this to surface.

    WOW!!!!

I really, really hope Hasbro imports him...this point may seem moot, but I remember reading that 20th Anniversary Prime didn't sell as well as desired.

Fans have clamoured for this figure for a good year now, at least... with VERY sound reasons for it besides the popularity of the character: a complex jet TF, both accurate in jet and 'bot modes to the show, repaints gallore, AND remolds gallore = cost effectiveness that is unrivaled as well as meaning many MPs for us to buy... but they're actually doing it? There's just no way we could hear THAT good a news... Its too good to be true, isnt' it? I just can't let myself get excited yet.... *L*

    Probably.

But there's still a puddle of drool on the floor at the very idea of the hint of the prospect of the possibility.

    Or something like that.

for a Deception Masterpiece, Starscream makes perfect sense.

#1 - Megatron (as a G1 homage) can't work, if the line is based on G1, and a huge realistic gun wouldn't work

#2 - Current Megatron characters on the cartoons have been bland and uninteresting, Starscreams have proven to be the most interesting and most developed personaility wise.

#3 - Starscream has two easy repaints, as well as another 3 simple retools.

#4 - The seeker molds/trio have been one of the most popular and desirable set of figures to be in a TF line, always seemingly selling well.

#5 - Starscream would be a welcome figure as the larger size would be more comparative to that of the Alternator/Binal Tech figures. Jets are much bigger than jeeps and subarus, in that sense, scale would accurate.

IF THIS HAPPENS, i, as a big Starscream fan will be all over this. He's the perfect Masterpiece character, kids will want him (to some degree) as will fans.....people still need to realise Megatron can't be done as a gun (aside from unrealistic designs in Classics)
