    UPDATE:

I modified Prime's waist to include the clear yellow sections as seen on MP-10.

    The process:

    1) Drilling/ cutting openings for clear pieces:

    Finished openings:

    2) Create detail panels to back the clear pieces:

    3) Installation of panels:

    Painted Panels:

    4) Cutting/ shaping of clear waist pieces (for this I used Plexiglas):

    5) Initial painting of clear pieces with Tamiya transparent Yellow:

    6) At this point, I was not happy with the results:

So, I sanded the unit, plexi and all; the pic is just after sanding, with a new repainting of the clear pieces:

    7) After painting the waist black (it takes the silver paint better than bare plastic), begin painting silver around the clear pieces:

    8) The waist after refinishing:

And where the project stand as of right now:

At this point, most of the modifications I wanted to make have been done, but there's still several items and issues to pursue. However, I think this is beginning to approximate MP-10 in several ways. I just need to work on the alt mode to smooth it out, and some touch-up/ finishing work in addition to the stuff that remains to be done.

    Stay tuned...

lutely amazing mate, I'm very impressed by this. You just raised the bar with customising mp-01.
I only just had the dawning realisation that he's now a bit taller with the added groin section too.

YOU AUTOBOTS CANT DENY, WHEN A BOT WALKS IN WID A IDDY BIDDY ARM............ couldn't resist, and now I cant stop thinking about scrounge.
Scrounge has a special arm in G1.
Also great work on the new arm bits, totally unnecessary but looking good. I thought they were fine with the last mods you did. the way your heading there's gonna be more mods than MP01 left.;)

    g1/hybrid styled forearms?

otherwise the feet and chest windows seem to be the only parts you've yet to mod....matrix chamber?

    Okay folks,

    UPDATE:

I rebuilt the front headlight panels!

    But first, the biceps:

First, arm disassembly (and on the right arm, elbow joint repair):

Then grinding the sides of the elbow to allow for the widened bicep:

    New bicep piece:

    Gluing on the new parts:

    In place:

    Primeamania running wild:

Okay, now the headlight panels/ truck front:

First, gluing on the strips to build up the front:

    New front panels:

Side strips to fill in the corners:

    Trial fit, robot mode:

    Trial fit, truck mode:

    Silver truck stripes glue-in:

    Headlights:

    Paintwork:

Now, the work isn't finished just yet; I plan on detailing the headlights more, and I need to clean up/ smooth out the paintwork a bit more. . And I may change the panel transform to the kind MP-10 uses. We'll see.

Jointed individual fingers: if I get the job I just applied for, that's next. :D

The feet: we'll see if I can mod those safely.

Windshield: I'm reluctant at this point to do anything, as it would require grinding metal.

Also, I removed the painted on detail on the upper thighs and carved in the vents, glued on insets for the truncated "v" shapes on the upper thighs and detail- painted the stuff. I'll try to have pics in a bit.

    Stay tuned...
