I'm really hoping they hit clunker Bee.

I'm also curious if they'll stay lock step with Takara or if like with mp, Takara will eventually do their own thing.

Are they touching the other movies or really just doing 07 cast? I know there are rumblings it's just 07, but does anybody really know?

Heads up Studio series Scavenger and Shockwave are starting to arrive in port in the U.S which means they should be showing up at retail or in-stock in online somewhere pretty soon.

It's so ridiculous because I literally just bought 2 new figures last month but I'm already super antsy to get the new wave. I just need Soundwave and Shockwave so baaaad!

Question for anyone who already has the arcee sisters: what do they look like next to mpms? If if they already look good with them it would be great to not have to wait for an OS KO.

This is 3P MPM so that's two strikes against it for me since I don't collect that, but man it looks amazing!
When this releases I'll be waiting for the beautiful pics from the guys here that collect MP scale :D

Crazy thing is, it is! Left hand, first pic. It's even more random than that peeing mojo in the Ironhide kit. And i love it's inclusion.

This company seriously has had to make a deal with the devil. They are killing these movie figures with zero kibble.

    That does make sense.
And it's pretty much the reason why I'm sure Starscream isn't a mass shifter in the movies, or at the very least not to the degree people like to claim.

I agree that it's a good way to collect them :)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Studio Series supposed to be a line where all figures were meant to scale with each other? If that was the case it seems to have gone out the window a long time ago.

Erector sounds exactly like a name Bay would love make use of. It's a strange thing he didn't.

Rough robot mode scale, aka "eh it's good enough I suppose?" (also an excuse to justify selling small toys lol)
in that regard it's not too bad I think. Of course if you want to go to specific heights and such everything goes to hell fast.

I think it also means we won't be getting stuff like big leader class Bumblebee, since those are obviously too big.

Got Scrapmetal last night. Half way there...and finally the first two pieces I can connect together.

I'm taking a step back on what I collect from this line. I was going all in with no regard to who I'm getting. I'm re-assessing. Any input would be appreciated. My number one rule is no duplicate characters. I don't mind mixing looks from different movies.

    I have SS-06 Starscream, SS-07 Grimlock, SS-08 Blackout, SS-10 Jazz, SS-011 Lockdown, SS-12 Brawl, SS-13 Megatron, SS-14 Ironhide, SS-16 Ratchet, SS-18 Bumblebee, SS-29 Sideswipe, SS-30 Crankcase, SS-33 Bonecrusher, SS-37 Rampage, SS-38 Optimus, SS-41 Scrapmetal, SS-42 Long Haul, SS-46 Dropkick, SS-47 Hightower.

My current want list is SS-28 Barricade, SS-35 Jetfire, SS-40 Shatter, SS-53 Mixmaster, SS-55 Scavenger. And of course Overload and Scrapper.

Any you think are worth adding to the list? Any you think I should not bother tracking down?

You guys are a great community. It's been fun to get into this line. :)

    Welcome to the boards!

If you want a SS Shatter, I'll suggest waiting for the upcoming jet version of SS Shatter that will be released in wave 9 instead of getting SS-40. SS-40 is quite a heavily flawed figure in terms of design and QC issues, with her ball-jointed shoulders and her pair of rear "wing" kibble/front car shells prone to popping off very easily with barely any resistance, while her stomach panel's hinge joint tends to disconnect before you could attempt to lock in place in robot mode. By design, her outward leg articulation is incredibly limited to the point of being completely useless.

SS-54 Megatron is like a Leader Class figure but at Voyager pricing. He also transforms like a mini-MP figure. The silver metallic paint job is done well throughout the figure.

SS-56 Shockwave is aesthetically my favorite with his paint apps. Wish he was a bit larger to justify the leader class pricing, though. He's smaller than voyager SS-54 Megatron.

Why not helicopter Drift? He's a great toy. Unless you are waiting for one that turns into a car.

That does make sense for the bigger characters. Characters like Ratchet and especially Oprimus should be kept in a consistent scale with the rest of their Autobots.

    True.
As nitpicky as I am I'm bound to find some tiny flaw in scale that annoys me to no end. Like how MPM Barricade is slightly bigger than MPM Bee in vehicle mode, though it's supposed to be the opposite.
Am I way too nitpicky with this? :lol

I have to admit, I'm not as nitpicky so I just shrug off tiny differences like that.
Regardless, there's no right or wrong way to collect these things, what's important is that in the end you're happy with the display you have on your shelf :)
