I modded my MPM Ironhide’s cannons. I basically broke them open, dremel’ed out a lot of the interior, and glued the pegs back inside. They’re much closer to the actual arm, they look much more integrated into his arms (as they were in the movie), and the extra bonus is that they are much lighter now so the arm panels don’t flop around while they’re attached anymore! Thoughts? Is this enough to warrant a radicons thread? I might add a bit more of the cannon material to cover the gaps but from most angles it looks a lot better now.

Is Devastator gonna get his own set release? I don't wanna get the constructions individually.

Is there any way to remove them at least? Not a huge deal if not, but I don’t mind partsforming like that

I see your points, and even agree. But it’s Blackout so he’s still a winner :p

I think most people would consider that a downgrade. Copter Dropkick is the longest shelf warmer I have seen at multiple stores around here. You should be able to find one pretty easily.

Watch as he transforms from satellite with a head to a giant boombox with a head.

If ROTF Soundwave retains the visor/faceplate, I hope the head will be swappable with DOTM's. Not a fan of the open mouth design.

Surprisingly in my area it's the opposite. Car dropkicks everywhere haha. I think the only thing I like more about the car one is the color.

BBB's quite notorious from Rotf in general. excluding him from the TF2 lineup entirely wouldn't be a wise decision.

Looks like a metal pin/post (what ever) is holding them on- so no simple options.

Also, as far as I can tell shaving down plastic would leave a visible wedge gap in car mode.

It's not awful, I guess but on my various BB toys with the wheels done this way (so almost every one), I always push the wheels further back.

Both versions of Dropkick have shelfwarmed a lot, but the helicopter one has definitely been less popular overall. Which makes sense to me cause IMO it’s a less good figure, although it’s much more unique so it gets points for that!

It’s all conjecture but I’m guessing it has to do with him not being a legacy character that people who didn’t see the movie would care about, coupled with the fact that his design is a bit generic (not passing judgement cause I love the character).

It's weird because Bee's wheels don't necessarily fold back on the CGI, but they don't have the huge wheelwells attached to them either.

It's very hard for any deluxe pricepoint Bee these days to compress that much and hide more of the vehicle kibble. I think the new SS-49 is an improvement to earlier versions but it's still far from perfect.

I am really curious to see an eventual DOTM Studio Series Bee. That is my favorite version of him and I'd be curious to see if it's just a repaint and slight remold of 49. Time will tell I guess.

It’s really about the silhouette. The wheel wells make him look too wide on top. If they could fold back more then their size wouldn’t be as apparent and the silhouette would be more pleasing. He still looks like a pretty great figure though.

We really need a salestread on the forums..
I got this Leader Brawl in today but already am repainting a (dessert) Brawl.
    So I dont need him.
This guy seems complete but the bateries are empty and he misses the blades on the rattlegun. Booklet included.
Also got a DOTM Que (deluxe) that can go, A (blackish) ROTF Fallen and A Mixmaster a custom SS Stinger and a custom OS SS05 Optimus Prime.
Anyone interested in any of these? (p.m me) D8813284-256C-4EB1-A1C7-A3AE4235A656.jpeg

Probably will be (assuming studio series gets that far). That disappoints me a little. If we look at this and 70's Bee as continuations of the design from aoe bee, I think the 70's interpretation is definitely the most successful so far. I think I'd put ss49 as a little more successful, but not sure- both got a lot right but have significant issues that 70's bee seems to have avoided.

I actually just changed my mind. When I get back home I am going to cut the entire upper panel of the wheel/car frame off (hopefully it will reattach in car mode, but if not oh well). That will both allow them to go back like I'd like and generally be less obtrusive. For me it will be a big improvement.

It'll be tough getting my hobby saw in there though. But I'll manage.

Basically me. It's flawed, but its Blackout! It's awesome! :D

Just this weekend I was fiddling with him and while I still don't like how the shoulders tab into the body I just love how he looks. That helicopter mode is massive.

Don't worry, MPM Blackout will bury SS in less than two years.
