The first version comes with two heads and four faces. The whole face comes off essentially (insert “take your face” joke here). The newer head that’s on the repaints has the same gimmick as MPM4 where the face lifts up and rotates.
    That’s right I said it.

Still up in the air whether that’s China price or not, which can sway the price tags a ton.

I prefer the DoTM over the 2007 deco of that mold, the green looks super nice in hand and the rifle he comes with is a well detail accessory, if you've ever handled the DOTM figure, he's very similar to that.

Those reprolabel stickers are cool ngl. I wish Toyhax came out with some for Studio Series, though :/.

Also, Is the Black Apple in Black Apple Optimus Prime the company name (Wei Jiang, Black Mamba, etc.), or the copyright abiding name (Hide Shadow, Steel Claw, etc.)? Does anyone have links to where I could possibly get it?

I've just heard his plastic quality and whatnot was kind of underwhelming. I haven't had him in-hand personally.

And yeah, I agree that SS should get an update, but I just meant I'm fine waiting for him for a while. The redeco of the leader isn't perfect, but he works fine for now. Ratchet, on the other hand, needs an MPM, like, yesterday.

Man, I have the Drift repaint of this guy, and I cannot give him away. No one seems to want it since the deluxe Heli Drift came out.

The Brand is Weijiang (WJ Toys, actually) and the model's name ist Thunder Leader. Black Apple is the name of the designer who made the modifications. He made and he is doing other figures for Weijiang (Evasion Mode Optimus, Squiks or how is he called, Ironhide)

Aside from the chest, I personally liked him a lot. Yes the truck mode's trash, but I don't ever really keep my bots in alt mode.

If TW fixes the chest, then I'd be down for getting him.
Only $43?? That's it??? I was gonna pass on it because I don't like the gap on the sides of his torso, but shit, $43 is too cheap to pass up. Thank you for keeping me posted, I really appreciate it!! :)

I was thinking about getting the Fire Scorpio FS-01 Prime

I think it’s better to not go with that.... for one, scorpion prime is apparently bigger than TW’s, has a massive chest, and tiny MP10 hands.... plus the legs pretty much don’t transform for the truck...

Judging by these pictures and measuring my icecream truck, I guesstimate the triplets between 6 and 6.5 cm.. knowing an Agila and Ducatti and know they are around 2.5 meters these girls are roughly 1:39.. meaning they are in scale with the deluxe cars like Bee, Stinger, Sideswipe and such!
I am so excited about this upcoming wave!

Now if someone would just downsize it again and give it normal back wheels, I'd be in!

Just the same figure, nothing more. Finding MPM Camaro Bee from Asian sellers on eBay has not been easy these days. Maybe reissue wasn't the most accurate term.

What features dp you guys expect from MPM Starscream? I expect some:
    • Properly articulated and accurate legs and feet.
    • Articulated fingers.
    • Red wires in the arms.
    • Butterfly joints in the chest area.
    • Gatling guns.

The first version does sound better, i wish TW went with that instead. I don't like the MPM gimmick though, as it makes it impossible to incorporate light up eyes.

    Thanks!

That's understandable, especially after a problem i ran into today.

I took it off the shelf (after not having done so in a week or two) to transform it, and i noticed that there was something wrong with the ratchets in the left leg. Then i took him apart and saw that a piece in the leg was broken.

I glued it back on, but it broke again as soon as I tried moving the leg. I tried gluing it on a second time now and I'll reassemble him tomorrow, but i don't have my hopes up. As long as the leg stays on I'll leave the figure alone until a good replacement shows up. Now I also want an MPM of him...

So in conclusion, it's definetly the right descision to stay away from this one.

The Leader/MPM does indeed hold up pretty well (It's the first TF i got and it's still one of my favourites) so i get why you're ok with having it as your MPM.
Ratchet i can definetly agree with. He needs a good MPM more than anyone else.

Meh. I prefer the MPM gimmick because I don't like when Transformers figures have any electronics in them. Electronics take up way too much space in the budget and tend to hinder articulation, posability, and screen accuracy. I prefer having Hasbro and TakaraTomy use light piping to make the eyes light up because it allows the neck articulation to be provided by a ball joint.
