That's par for studio series. Vehicle scale isnt what they follow, its robot scale.

 

Well they get close enough with the bots and they can save a lot of plastic by reducing and improving on the vehicle to so I see a win win if ever they decide to make a new one. (if they get the transformation right, they could even use the same robotmodes in both the vehicles, reducing development costs)

I would say that it's a bit of an exaggeration to call yourself a wackjob as well  

 

They can manage to upsize this to a big Voyager (8.6 inches) but can't upsize the constucticons?!

 

They can.. easily even.
But they need to see profit in it.
It costs roughly 800 euro to 3d scan and then upsizing and printing is cheap. Then it is prepping and making a mold.
It costs around 4000 dollar to make it ready to produce so that is where they need to see a possible profit in selling them.

 

I dont know costs and their labor obviously, but I would assume it be profitable. If the Voyagers (like Long Haul) was OS to say around Bmb Nitro Zeus or their Brawl, and all of the other constructicons were OS proportionally, I could see them selling each bot around the $40 to $70 mark (Starscream, Brawl and Nitro Zeus sold around $50).

It be interesting once their tooling molds are made, would they then capitalize on repaints? All in all, 8 bots around $50 average is a $400 investment. Not bad considering most 3Ps hit the $100+ mark each.

Like you said, would they invest in all of the molds though or try in increments? I would start with Long Haul and Demolisher who I would assume are the 2 most popular of the constructicons as stand alones and see how the market goes in demand. I think once collectors start, they will want them all. Just my opinion.

 

I would agree but we will see what they do.. I hope they give SS 44 a bigger version someday.. I mean that new BMB one looks amazing but man he is gigantic!

 

They were so quick to do ss05 and even ss38, really want a slightly upscaled 32 or ideally 44, that prime is just too small.

 

Well to be fair there is a better and for them more profitable option.. make a SS 32/44 and sell the trailer seperate. that way double the profit for one OS.. they need to make it SS scale trough, so Prime needs to be around 22 cm
But I would buy it unseen, I need a prime that scale so bad (and Ratchet to and many many more)

 

YESSSS! He looks so much better, and all that's really changed is he's been bent over.

Imagine how good he'll look once we see pics with long haul not mis-transformed and scrapper not miss transformed and hightower and scrapmetal not mistransformed and with rampage not mistransformed and with the arms swapped left to right so they're screen/instructions accurate. It'll be awesome.

He's looking a hell lot better!
I was a bit too busy yesterday playing with my DOTM Optimus to properly look at the new Devy pics but giving him a hunched posture really makes all the difference, he's looking a lot cooler now.
Maybe the next time we see him he'll be better transformed?
