Maybe look into Prime’s chest area, where his head is in carmode, that basicly is a huge empty space in robotmode.
I am excited you are taking him on trough, he is worth it.

and I to am looking forward to a tread in Radicons!

    Thanks everyone!

I'm conflicted about it TBH. Should I do a transformable custom, or go with a Studio Series scaled non transforming one like I did with my other one?

If non transforming - go as screen accurate as possible including the back of the legs and his back. Increase knee and ankle articulation. Remove all unnecessary truck kibble. Shorten him by an eighth inch to match my other Ops (new ankle mod with removal of plastic from his foot), total paint job.

If transformable - finish modding the ankles and how to reattach the doors, full on paint job.

    Hmmm. Lololol.

@optimusbee I'm pretty sure I used Testors gloss dark blue enamel. It was a while ago...

If You did a non transforming one I would gladly take the front truck bits. ;)

(Mine got a tad messed up after some accidental paint spillage....)

I would say custom but transformable,
that is how I like to do them to..
More challenging but also more rewarding once it is done.

my next project is almost ready to come out of the mold to..
I will use a dreadbot obviously to fill it in and make a transformable dreadbot.

Alright I’m in need of a Prime. What would you say is the better choice, ss38 or ss44? I really want one that’s fun to mess around with.

38 all the way. At least, if you want a Prime that doesn't look like an underfed midget next to his fellow Autobots.

If you prefer Bay then go get Battle Blade or Evasion or even the first movie Voyager - those three aren't necessarily superior to SS Bay Prime accuracy-wise but they sure look better from a scale-based standpoint.

Yeah you just convinced me, I think I’m getting the WJ one. BMB being larger is nice, but it’s only a small increase. Where did you order yours?

I also say go with SS38 if you are going for "fun to mess around with".

There's a fun/play factor to SS44, but the SS38 captures that stoic quality much more. Decent size in both modes, and I think the transformation is more enjoyable/rewarding.

You get a lot more with SS44 and its all around pretty good, but it’s a little more pricey. SS38 is also solid and has a nice feel in hand. It really boils down to what your prefer tbh. Like bayformers? Go with SS44, prefer a cheaper figure? SS38.

Those three alone cost more than SS44.... Sure their in scale but their not exactly easy to find either.

The only thing putting me off until I see how the BMB one compares is the mace, the BMB one comes with two and they're modified to be movie accurate :/ Glad you finally found a Movie 1 Megatron for you bro

I got the mini Black Mamba OP figure that was a pre-order bonus for their oversized SS Grimlock what feels years ago lol. They finally came in at Show Z. Interesting figure- based on the TLK Voyager Prime but shrunk down. Unsure if any changes to the sculpt was made as I didn’t own the Voyager, but a fun little figure to ride on Grimlock.

Decided almost randomly to get the Legends-sized BB figures of Barricade and Bumblebee (MV1 Camaro ver.). They were on 70% off and I decided they were worth the deal. Might start a mini collection with them and some old figures I want to bring to my grandma's house.

If I may chip in.. get the OS SS05, decent figure, cheap and the most in scale one we have, he is slightly taller than the evasion one and about 3 cm taller and longer than the “normal” SS05, he is the size of the HFTD BB Prime.
Here are mine OS SS05 and my Evasion Prime to give you an idea.

    (Mine are custom, but I didn’t alter the height) image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Got any pics of him? Maybe next to some SS figures to show his scale?

Mine is on the way! It's in customs right now. I'm actually excited for a genuine USKO, which I've been wanting for a long time. I think having a little Prime that can fit easily in my jacket pocket will be fun. I plan on painting and stuff. Do you plan on modding yours at all? Any pics to post?
