Excuse me for bringing back one of my old posts but I have just exactly what you're thinking of. Mostly.
Awesome! Love the enthusiasm and totally agree! Studio Series and the MPMs and some of the 3p output all at once is incredible. And everyone seems to be doing a pretty damn good job overall!
The real answer is he changed size a lot for various shots, but the scale chart says 22ft, which I think is the exact same height as Ratchet (somehow). So up to Prime's abdomen/chest approximately.
Haha whoa send that to hasbro ASAP!
Would be cool a two pack of oreo bot and dispensor
As much as I can appreciate the guy making paper versions of TFs....theres always something suspicious to me about how he markets them as the preexisting figures? Especially when they're the newest, or old in demandfigures. Rubs me the wrong way.
Totally agree! As I am more an mpm and 3p (also ko, I admit), I have to say that it's difficult at the moment to keep up with all the new releases and announcements, every week there is something new. If I would buy everything I'd like to (also from many old releases that I still don't have), I'd probably dip into all my savings. And I would also be a homeless cause my wife would throw me out of our house!! Anyway, it's really exciting!
Actually I looked into this (I have them both at home) but It seems there is a little height issue with the front (legs, wheel nose of the car) I am still figuring out what I can do with it but I need to sort Ratchet’s rear wheels and paint my custom dreadbot.
Oh.. and start my custom movieverse Brawl (in scale of course)
Very fair point, definitely is overpriced too
Waiting already for your thread about Brawl... Let me guess: BMB? I think it would scale with ss cars...
No, I found a Land Rover plastic modelkit in 1:39 scale (scale of the SS carbots) and intend to use it on an old bot I have laying around or the WW2 Bumblebee if I can find a junker/incomplete version.
And of course I have an updated green/yellow paint scheme in mind ;-)
what BMB bot did you have in mind?
I don't even wanna know
@Shmoptimus Prime I agree on Lockdown's turtle shell, although I must admit his head and body feature some of the best sculpted detail in the Studio Series line to date.
Unpopular opinion but I'm gonna go with Jazz. Certainly a very good figure, with a great torso and dynamic legs, but the backpack being basically one solid, bulbous piece detracts from what should be an athletic frame. Also his forearms are a bit scrawny. I know he's justifiably small, but I think there is a bit more they can do there.
I was thinking about Black Mamba ls-10 Brawl, as I think he is a very good base for a custom and that he is too small in alt mode to match with the mpm cars (but I really have no idea about its real scale).
But I already understood that you don't like easy customs, so I had to know this would have been too obvious for you!
Just like how HFTD gave non-combining figures of Long Haul and Rampage, I think some Constructicons could use new molds unhindered by the need to combine for better scale accuracy:
Hightower (Deluxe class) -> Voyager class
Long Haul (Voyager class) -> Leader class
Scavenger (Leader class) -> Commander class. Sold as Demolisher in his accurate film-based colors alongside Commander class figures of Jetfire and Grimlock.
And of course, a yellow repaint of Rampage named Skipjack...
I never take the easy route ;-)
He will be quite stunning trough,he will be based on this:
Rampage for sure. I never wanted the Constructicons to combine in the first place because I knew it'd detract from the individuals. (plus I think Devastator looks stupid) Mixmaster is easily by far the worst, but the original Voyager still holds up to this day. Meanwhile the original Deluxe Rampage was... a mess. The SS Voyager is an improvement for sure, but still has plenty of room for improvement. I'm probably biased though, as Rampage is admittedly my favorite of the Constructicons
My choice are a bit on the unusual side, but I'll like to go with Stinger. The mold itself is fine, but I would love to see a premium semi gloss dark red paintjob on the figure itself (or at least, a plastic color that didn't make the toy looks cheap especially in alt mode), slightly adjusted joint tolerance and use of slightly more durable plastic.
So there is suppose to be a Lucca convention starting today. I think Hasbro is attending. What do you think?
He looks great with some paint indeed!
