So no new reveals at all? Like is there anything new?
Unfortunately not, I was hoping for some earthrise stuff but it seems Hasbro Is wanting to show off more marvel and starwars stuff at London as apposed to NYC or San Diego.
I'll keep an eye out and see if they put anything else out over the weekend. But don't keep your hopes up.
That looks pretty good! However without actual reveals and painted figures of Overload and Scrapper worry me. And are there no reveals??? Cmon! And by the way they got Devy arms wrong.
Nope, clearly they aren't ready.
We dont even have mixmaster and Demolisher yet tbh, overload is probably gonna be late 2020 by the looks of it.
There's still Paris I guess? Although I don't know why they'd be more prepared at one convention and not another, but you never know?
The panel hasn't started yet, that's where the reveals take place. I wouldn't worry if I were you. It starts in a few hours I believe.
Oops, I jumped the gun there.
I really hope so. Since last year we got wave 5 and 6
Devy looks weird standing up
Why does no one know how to transformer parts of devy?
Do it now. You won't get a deal like this again. Ironhide has his faults but for $50 having a display piece that looks as good as he does is a steal. Plus you might get a good one that doesn't have bum arms! AND if you like him enough you can always get the DNA kit now.
I'm gonna get SS Scavenger and enjoy the hell out of him, and I'm definitely not gonna say he's not worth the leader price, but this miiiight be a good candidate for an OSKO, and I hate being that guy. Mostly cause I love the design enough to get him independent of Devastator and I'd like him to scale with SS OP and Ironhide.
Yeaaaah, that doesn't look too hot, but I will not judge the final product in any way from these terrible pics of a terribly mistransformed prototype figure. Those who keep going on and on about "it doesn't look as good as the prototype from last year waaah!" are crazy if they thought that's what they were getting. If this was transformed properly, posed well (he'll look better on all fours or at least hunched over) and, y'know, not blue, I'm sure it'd look awesome. But of COURSE in the other thread I'm seeing many "PASS this looks terrible!!1" comments.
I'm inclined to agree that it's probably the bipedal version. Oh well I ain't too disappointed since I like both versions, although I would have preferred the crab one.
And I'm not too sad about the blue prototypes considering they're probably at least 8 or 10 months off from release.
As someone who designs product for a living, I can say that companies almost NEVER send the actual people who work on things to trade shows and stuff. It's always sales and marketing people who don't care that much about the actual thing they just wanna sell it to other people who don't care that much about it as long as it sells. I guarantee they don't have someone there who knows how to transform or pose it properly. I mean, they even spelled Devastator wrong, unless that's how it is in French or something?
That Devy photo doesn't look too hot, but I wouldn't put much stock in a photo where he isn't even hunched over correctly and his arms are switched.
I'm sure we'll see him in a better light once we get better shots.
Overload looks like he has one of each limb
So if i'm looking at this correctly... it looks like combined mode means splitting Overload's torso in half, have him do a handstand whilst holding Longhaul and Rampage and then port his feet into Scavenger's shoulders?
I knew he would get his neck rings from Overload!
When is the Hasbro panel btw?
Just curious (not hating) but why wouldn’t he be worth the leader price? I’ll admit he’s a bit simple, but from the size vs price argument mentality, I think he definitely fits the boat of a leader figure. But I’ll agree with you on the OSKO part, and even though I personally am not the person who buys stuff like that, I think this is the one guy they should give that treatment for. Though if I’m being honest, I probably wouldn’t have looked in his direction if it wasn’t for devastator. Without the devy aspect I’d say he also wouldn’t be worth the price of admission, but with the combined aspect in mind I think the leader pricing is fine. At least if you ask me.
True. I think his size can be justified by the fact no combiner in the history of Transformers has ever been realistically possible without mass shifting. It's a necessary sacrifice IMO.
Devy is looking awesome i need to get around to picking these guys up
