Does anybody here have the Deluxe Starscream from DOTM or any of its repaints? How does he scale next to fellow Deluxes?

While I don’t have him anymore, I can tell you he doesn’t scale at all. Much like the trend that began with DOTM he is a very small deluxe.

Do you remember how he scaled next to smaller Deluxes like movie 1 Brawl, Bonecrusher, and ROTF Rampage? Was he taller than them?

Damn that's huge! Way too big for me

Honestly, what we need is a Masterpiece Prime Prime. Heck, any Prime Masterpiece would be amazing. I personally consider it to be one of the best series in Transformers history and it's a shame it hasn't gotten any attention from HasTak or 3P aside from those non-transforming figures.

Also, if you ask me, if ROTF Prime is 1.0, then MPM Prime is 1.5 with BA/WJ MPM being 2.0. Sorry, but MPM Prime really is a two steps forward, one step back figure. It did improve on some things, but it actually ignored a ton of the things that the ROTF Prime got right. Fewer pegs, incorrect paint apps, inaccurate chest, inaccurate arms, inaccurate backpack configuration, etc...

So I've been wrestling with this question since I saw your comment, and rather than actually doing my homework I spent my day trying to determine the proper size for Sentinel.

    Megatron & Sentinel Prime.png

I apologize for the terrible quality, for some reason the Red Goblin scale chart didn't like being cropped. Basically though, a Studio Series Sentinel Prime needs to be a voyager. Even though the animators cheated in DOTM and made Sentinel larger to scale with Megatron, he actually is much smaller. I cropped in the DOTM Voyager to make a quick approximation.

Judging by the size of Sentinels vehicle mode, i'd say he should be at least as tall as Megatron.

I agree. Even though i prefer the movie designs, i'd say that the Prime designs are the best considering how they mixed G1 and movie designs so well. I'll never understand why they don't get more love.

Actually, I'm pretty sure ILM just shrunk Megatron to 30ft from his original height of 35ft in Movie 1. He's been that size since ROTF, but Hasbro continues to follow the size set in 2007 and probably would until AOE Galvatron gets himself a SS toy. Consistency, I guess.

Also, because it'd look really weird and awkward seeing a gigantic 2007 Megatron hulking over teeny-tiny ROTF and DOTM Megatrons.

I wouldn't be surprised if SS Galvatron and TLK Megatron turn out the same size as the Trilogy-trons just like how BB Optimus Prime and Bay Prime are the same height in SS despite the former supposedly needing a toy the size of SS-01 to accurately reflect his size in the movie.

These two are great, but I would love to see another attempt at peterbilt Prime in the MPM line.

Vehicle scale and robot scale are always hard to reconcile when it comes to the movies.

I whipped this together to try and see what you meant.

    Sentinel Prime Vehicle Mode Scale.png

Sentinel's vehicle is definitely bigger than Prime so it would make sense for him to be a little larger than Prime but keeping in mind that DOTM Megatron utilizes his whole trailer, so to me, it makes sense if he's taller and a little bulkier than Sentinel. I can see Hasbro going two routes for a Studio Series Sentinel Prime. He'll be a large voyager like ROTF Megatron and only come with his shield and sword.

If they want to make Sentinel a little larger to match Leader Megatron, they'd include his run cannon and a handful of pillars. Considering we're getting Shockwave and Soundwave I think the likelihood of us seeing more DOTM characters in the near future is pretty good. I wouldn't be surprised if Sentinel isn't revealed after wave 8.

A rough rule of thumb is that the length of the alt-mode is usually close or equal to the height of the robot mode with several obvious exceptions like Lockdown and Starscream.

So for example, Bumblebee is 16ft tall while his Camaro is 190 inches long (15.83 ft)

Optimus is 28ft tall while his Peterblit is 350 inches long (29.16 ft)

Sentinel has a vehicle length of 466.5 inches (39 ft). I'd say that with that in mind he would be likely closer to 35ft than 30.

Then again, Optimus never size shifted but his AOE truck mode is 505 inches long so...

Either way all I want is for SS Sentinel to be at least the same size Evasion Mode or TLK Megatron, as at the bare minimum Sentinel should be that tall. I can accept if he doesn't turn out the same size as Megatron since he'd look pretty off with SS 32/44 anyway.

That's the Iron Warrior 05 Pioneer model kit. It can't transform and is meant to look as accurate as possible to the Transformer's Prime OP model

Yeah and some 3P company just showed off this week another toy (of prime from tf prime) that looks even better.........that DOES transform!

So nobody buy that model kit (which is supposed to be not great in quality).
