Dropkick strikes me as one of those figures that, had he been released as an off-screen character between 2007-2010, he would've been a real hit

Because as a toy, he's pretty great, with a real neat transformation as you say. His biggest drawback really is that he's just not that accurate compared to the other Studio Series figures. Even compared to other SS Bumblebee figures, he falls pretty plat in terms of accuracy, which is kind of a shame

 

The slot for Leaders next year are already filled for Devastator Constructicons, if Megatron happened he probably wouldn’t be revealed until SDCC 2020.

Same here. It would be a crime for Hasbro to skip that mold, seeing how they have the template for a guaranteed bestseller spoon-fed to their mouths.

 

HOLD YOUR HORSES. Remember that there’s a possibility that we might see one more leader. As DOTM OP showed up out of nowhere for this year. And yes, he is a recycling of an earlier mold, but doesn’t change the fact that SS has only been around for a couple years and Leader releases aren’t exactly consistent yet for us to make such assumptions. After all, it’s not like we saw V2 Dropkick or said Leader Optimus coming.

 

You realize that theres most likely not going to be 4 leader class figures next year so there's not a huge chance of another leader.

Weve known for a while next years 3 leader class figures.

I just don't like how a huge part of his body is clear plastic, and how the bottom of his feet are painted. I played with mine often and now it has some scratches

Otherwise man he is one good toy. Not a good representation of the character from the movie, but still pretty good.

As I said before, MPM material!! @Optimistic Prime, a very reliable source..cough cough @erwinsims cough cough..advised me that BMB had some issues with their factory, but once addressed, they will continue to make them. So fingers crossed!!  

 

As a kid, Starscream was the triangle guy and Megatron was the spiky guy and that was enough for me   The hoover dam scene where they met also gave a good closeup of their faces which helped differentiate them more.
I guess when you watched these things young, your eyes get used to the bayhem lol
Never had any problem following the action in the films.

Yea I should've clarified. The time I was describing was back when I was 12 and stupid, when the movie released. Either way, it set a bad prcedent for me for the movies since. It wasn't only recently when I realized how good the movie designs were. That is, when I was able to see it.

 

Fun isn't something I consider when looking at oskos. But this... This puts a smile on my face...

But seriously, how much is this guy going for? I'm considering maybe picking him up if the price is right... Not big into the whole osko thing, but sideswipe has my interest

 

As long as you're collecting MPM figures, you'll be good with this Sideswipe, as he's meant to fit in with that line. He's going for $40.
