the 10 years of engineering that led to... pretty much no progress in engineering, just the toy designers actually having more than concept art for the first time. i don't think that will lead to us actually having magic and universe-breaking mass shifting in 10 years.

I got Jolt out from storage to mess around with, and thought it'd be fun to do a comparison.

ROTF Jolt from 2009 vs Studio Series Barricade from 2019

Ok, you got me there too lol. I pretty much gave up on trying to tab those things lol. But they stay up straight pretty much on their own.

And sorry, I just noticed I said the the screw on the hip of my LT02 was too noticeable, but I meant that it's not too noticeable.

I have TW Prime coming, as well as BMB Beetlebee, and the upcoming SS wave, so I can't buy another one now. But as soon as I get all that out of the way, I'll replace this one one, and take this one to work :D

    "Haha you're short!"
"F#$k off I actually have good engineering as a figure."
"Well I'm more valuable because I'm older!"
    "At least I came back."
"At least I helped save Optimus!"
"I've become a running meme in the movie series, outlasted Starscream, have become a fixture in the Transformers franchise to the point that I'm getting my own what-if G1 figure, and people actually remember me!"
    "... Boy I hope I get a Studio Series toy. :( "

The challenge with printing is that transformers figures are made up of many pieces and consist of screws and pins and joints required for articulation. So the more complex a transformer is, the more pieces he will be made up of and it will be painstakingly time consuming to assemble. If you can get some type of robot printer that assembles figures after their pieces have been printed that would be one hell of an expensive piece of machinery.

I have a question about leader DOTM Megatron. Is his shoulder kibble (wheels and panels, I assume it is all one piece) easy to remove and reinstall as seen in the picture below? IMG_5742.JPG

Didn't think it would happen, but the only listing on ebay for Studio Series Long Haul is sold out after selling over 20 figures of the same character. Even though I didn't like to price, makes me wonder if I should have reserved one when I had the chance.

Got Rampage at a slight discount today. (I wanted Bonecrusher but couldn't find him anywhere.)

Unfortunately it didn't take long before he picked a fight with Bee.

Wow I really can’t wait for a Bumblebee of that design in closer proportions to the CGI! It’s probably just me but the DOTM figure looks too chubby despite the good scale.

Yes both. I just don’t wanna pay what they have him for. A while back amazon had him for $21 and I passed and I regret that. But honestly I’m only really looking for him right now because there’s a lull in SS releases.
Yes but I’m sure if you can do a gundam model you can do a 3D printed assemblable transformer. Also we were speculating about the FUTURE, and I’m sure in 10 years 3D printing will
Be more advanced than it is now.
Rampage is great and I miss him right now :(

I'm in the same boat as you. I saw ROTF at retail back when I didn't think I was going to collect Studio Series and now I'm wishing I picked him up.

Ebay sometimes has good deals but you really have to watch the auctions closely.

I might just break down and buy one from Amazon one of these days.
