The black friction clips that connect the main shoulder to the body broke during transformation. I was able to reattach it with glue and situated it so it has less stress.

Hmm I got him at a retail store like Target and I dont recall gim being too sought after. Is he rare these days?

Anyway,
I got the DNA upgrade kit and it’s neat. It’s not the best thing ever but it does solve some of the issues with the base figure. Haven’t transformed him yet with it though. I like the new weapons and the fact that he has variety now but I really don’t like how he’s a partsformer now. Oh well it’s still fun to have:

Do you recommend SS Grimlock?? I'm on the fence about him, and only only want to get him cause I have TLK Scorn. But aside from that, he doesn't really appeal to me.

You have UT Challenger, right? Do you think he looks about the same height as that MPM KO? My main MV collection is 1/32 scale, which means 27cm is the optimal Optimus (sorry not sorry) height for me. Luckily for me, Challenger hit that mark perfectly and I'm really hoping this guy does too.

EDIT:

Grimlock's Tyrannosaurus Diceratos mode is a bit underwhelming, but I think his bot mode is pretty damn sexy. No shit, he looks just as good from the back as he does the front. I think he'd be worth it for you a little under retail, but if you say he doesn't really appeal to you, I can't quite tell you he's a must-have.

 

Challenger is about head taller than LT02, which is the same size as the original MP. Whereas the WJ version towers over the MP Prime.

I think I'll just pass on him for now, and pick him up when he's a little bit cheaper. Thanks for the feedback!!

I just died a little.. I hope to see a 8” optimus that has a truck in the1:38 to 1:40 region... still hoping the Wei Jiang os comander prime fits the bill..fingers crossed!
