How big would Blackout be anyways? If I remember quite right, wasn't he taller than Megatron in the movie? We might have a massive figure on our hands...

I don´t know, the SS Blackout is one of the bigger if not even the biggest SS figure. If they make the MPM in scale, it will be really really big (and I like the idea).
He is anyway my favourite choice for the next Decepticon. He has the most walk-ons in movie 1 with Brawl so it will for sure be one of these two. I´m not even sure that Bonecrusher will ever get the MPM treatment. He really had a two minute screen time (who daf**k had this wonderfull idea??) so I don´t think Hasbro is so interested in him, even if he has a very beautiful design and he has a lot of fans. Its SS version also looks little and rushed.

If Classic Camaro Bee is real, then the choice following him will be the decision point for MPMs. Do they continue on to try to complete the first movie cast, or do they branch out and just tackle the most popular characters across all films (Sentinel, Soundwave, Shockwave, Sideswipe, etc.)?

If it's the former, Blackout is the obvious choice, although besides slightly better kibble management and better hands I don't really see how they improve upon the excellent Studio Series figure. He'd also have to be pretty darn huge. He's also a fan favorite.

I imagine they'll first finish the movie 1 cast, and then move on to just doing fan favorites from the rest of the series

So the question is, do I go for MPM Starscream, or wait for the 4th Party KO that fixes what annoys me about his official paint scheme.

So this impeccable release of MPM Starscream and the impending Ratchet has really been a catalyst for my MPM love.....and it's got me thinking:

Realistically, what might we see next in the MPM pipeline?

I don't frequent the "speculation" threads, so apologies if this has been addressed already.

I think the classic Camaro Bee is rumored to be next. After that, I'm guessing one of the Decepticons remaining from 2007. I think Blackout will be the one to cap off the 2007 movie cast, so I'm going to guess Brawl. But, I could go with any of them.

Nothing was done for the ROTF 10 year anniversary but maybe we’ll get a DOTM Optimus for next year? Reason enough to retool MPM-04 to connect better in cab mode and tool up the new ab section.

Wow how haven't i seen this thread until now.
I think its safe to say they're planning to be able to reuse molds with some tweaking at most in the future. The upcoming Starscream & ratchet will easily get their repaints from 2 & 3 at some point & i can see all of prime, Ironhide and bee getting touched up for their DOTM appearances (Also rotf in bees case)
I wouldn't be surprised to see an MPM bee for each or most of his designs eventually and i'd love to display a line of them as cars.

Hopefully when the world gets back to normal this line sees around 3 releases a year. 2 is just that tad too slow but they also had to get these two just right for potential repaints saving costs in the future. Had this year gone without a pandemic i would of imagined we would have gotten scream, ratchet and 77 bee all this year.

Next year i hope we see at least the rumored 77 bee, blackout(or one of the remaining cons) and possibly rotf sideswipe as i cant see two cons being released in a year, also kicking off rotf

So, with two MPM homeruns in a row, I can't help but look to the horizon for the next one....

Any solid leads on who it can be?

It's just speculation but it all depends on if they decide to continue to ROTF or not. If they do more 2007 Decepticons, Blackout has to be next. I'm definitely expecting them to do a Blackout since he's the first transformer we see in the movies

Wow really? I would think he'd be last, just due to size!

    I'd certainly buy it though.

Either way ...I just want MORE MPMS...I am floored by them.

I believe 76 Bee was rumored next. If that is the case, then I think it's basically guaranteed at this point that they intend to complete the 07 cast. My hope is Brawl is the other one next year.

    Yeah. Agree.

Although I'd be more pumped to have a brand new character.

I disagree. Blackout is likely going to be the most expensive one yet, so I think it will be done last. Especially if they decide to work in Scorponok.
