what are some movies you've cried over? for me peter jackson's king kong and star wars episode 3 revenge of the sith. I still can't watch those films without feeling sorry for anakin and kong
This isn't actually crying over a movie, but I was always afraid of Spirited Away for some dumb reason.
The Lion King ["Long Live the king." GOD DAMN YOU SCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!], Toy Story 3, Marley and Me, Ice Age [the first one, with Diego dying, even though he got better quickly]. On Toy Story 3 too, I have been unable to watch that movie again ever since the first time I watched, its just..too sad.
All of the Bayformers films, out of joy for being able to see an incarnation of my childhood heroes on the big screen. Terminator 2, the ending with the steel mill, because it was an awesome sacrifice and a machine taught us what it means to be human.
Lord of the Rings, towards their endings. Usually it involves Sam and Frodo, with Howard Shore's music in the background. Titanic got me when I first watched it. Toy Story 3, when Spoiler Andy gave his toys to Bonnie . That had me sobbing like a child. I also agree with Crazy Ramjetty, King Kong was pretty sad.
Star Wars Revenge of the Sith. At the end, just the thought of "Wow,everything's set up for the OT" get's me teary eyed. And the sad thing is,I didn't grown up with the OT
First one that comes to mind is Grave of the Fireflies. I'm sure I've seen a few other tearjerkers that I can't recall right now.
Not a movie, but the finale of Six Feet Under is still near unwatchable for me. Heck, it's been years since that shit aired, and I can barely even listen to the song anymore. If that's not brilliant, I dunno what is. Six Feet Under Last Episode - YouTube
The Land Before Time......more specifically, the death of Littlefoot's mother. James Horner provides a mournful score, and Littlefoot's voice actor brings to tears due a genuinely broken sounding tone. Of course, the movie is ten times harder to watch after I learnt about the death of Judith Barsi (Duckie).
I'm such a wuss when it comes to emotional moments. If I have even an ounce of investment in the characters, I'll feel something when emotions run high. Here's a few films where this has happened: Wall-E Avatar The Lion King Titanic Transformers (the 1986 movie, and the Bay Trilogy) The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy Armageddon Warrior King Kong (2005) And that probably scratches the surface. See what I mean? LOL
Highlander. You know, the part when Connor outlives his wife. The Iron Giant. "Superman." The finale of Terminator 2.
Uh..I didn't [though I still found it pretty damn sad], for some reason, I was unable to connect with Rosie/Jack and the passagers the same level I was able to connect with Simba or Andy [from The Lion King and Toy Story 3, respectively]. Maybe because I'm batshit insane, maybe not.
Didn't cry for Titanic, either. I found the sinking fascinating, not tragic. The Normandy invasion scene in Saving Private Ryan gets to me, too, as does the bit where Captain Miller dies.
