Entertainment Earth has posted a pre-order page for the movie Leader Wave 6 Revision 1 assortment. The news in this is that Premium Optimus Prime will be shipping alone in this assortment, two to a case. http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HT81058F1 While the "Revision 0" or initial assortment for Wave 6 will include one of each Premium Prime and Premium Megatron, looks like Premium Megatron may be the hardest to find of the two. They have also listed a pre-order for Deluxe Wave 10 Revision 3. No Premium deluxes, so get them while you can. Revision 3 will include: 1x Landmine 1x Autobot Camshaft 1x Stockade 2x Stealth Battle Bumblebee 1x Overcast 1x Salvage 1x Jungle Bonecrusher http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HT81057K3 Looks like Premium Bumblebee may be the hardest to find, as he's only in the original Wave 10 assortment (2x) and Revision 2 (1x): Rev 0 1x Landmine 1x Autobot Camshaft 1x Stockade 1x Overcast 1x Barricade (Premium) 1x Jazz (Premium) 2x Bumblebee (Premium) Rev 1 1x Stockade 2x Stealth Battle Bumblebee 1x Overcast 1x Salvage 1x Jungle Bonecrusher 1x Barricade (Premium) 1x Jazz (Premium) Rev 2 1x Autobot Camshaft 1x Stealth Battle Bumblebee 1x Overcast 1x Salvage 1x Jungle Bonecrusher 1x Barricade (Premium) 1x Jazz (Premium) 1x Bumblebee (Premium).
Ugh...this makes hunting so much more frustrating/depressing. Hopefully they revise the leader class again for more Megatrony goodness. DN
damn it. i guess i might as well just spend the extra 20 bucks and just order the Premium Megatron off of BBTS then. we almost never see new figures here till months after theyve been released, so if hes not gonna be in the later cases then ill have no hope of getting one in person. oh well, at least now ill have him in my hands sooner.
Great. Now I have to make the decision, as others above have mentioned, on whether or not the recolored Megatron mold is worth the price. For $39.99 (or $44.99) I thought it would be.
It makes sense. Prime is more popular, and his premium version has remolded parts, so I expect it to sell better. -airfox
Just got my Premium Megatron from Bigbadtoystore. He isn't much of a repaint he isn't painted silver at all. He is cast in a darker grey plastic than before with some real subtle gold and black paint apps. Also, does anyone know if Premium Prime is supposed to have a little notch directly center of this face plate underneath the nose region of his face? Mine has one but I cant tell if its supposed to be there or if it was dent from before the painting process at the factory.
Fuck. Not unexpected, but upsetting nonetheless. I was going to get 2 of premium Megs, and only 1 (if that) premium Prime; if I don't see them at retail, this is probably going to prompt anybody selling them on the secondary market to mark them up (regardless of whether he is actually hard to find or not).
I haven't opened him up yet or played the possibly new sound yet but needless to say, I am very underwhelmed. I bought 2 thinking he would be all silver and that Takara/Tommy wouldn't have room to do any better on a possible Premium Megatron. Well, now there is plenty of room so I'm gonna see if I can return and get refunded for the 2nd Megatron I bought.
Eh, I don't really care if he isn't silver. I liked Megs enough the first time around; if this version is the same minus the metallic blue paint apps, then he'll still be a big enough improvement for me to justify getting 2.
Ah yea, big improvement and thank god there isn't a single hint of blue on him. Does anyone know or have a premium prime to confirm what I had previously mentioned about the notch under primes nose?
In the leader scale at least, Bee still takes the cake for overall hardness, prolly Starscream as a second being a Target exclusive. DN
with the Premium line coming out, anyone have any idea if the AllSpark versions will be discounted? not likely, since the originals weren't when AS came out, but I can always hope... those leader class figs are just so expensive
