you can cleary tell its soundwave if you look at the concept art and then at the toy you can see its soundwave in his earth vehicle mode but the toy to me looks better than the concept art.

 

Not his Cybertronian mode that is barely bigger than a cigar box.

 

Nah, they're those little novelty electric globes you see at stores all the time where if you touch them, the electrical current will move towards that spot. Hours of fun!

 

That to me is a Deluxe figure of Soundwaves's Cybertron Mode.

I hope we get a Voyager size figure of his earth/truck mode which btw owns!

 

looks like he just landed from the ca-ca tree... Master Sing is not pleased

 

I think it is soundwave look at the face and compare it to g1 soundwave, that and I think it could be a robot master,because it does not look like it transforms.

 

of course it can transform.. else how would they have been able to mistransform it so badly!

 

guys obviously the shaman thing in the leaked script is pretty much confirmed now. Looking at the blu glowy things it looks like ornate decorations typical for shamans and what not. I bet you also the blue things resonate soundwaves perhaps.

Honestly the feet in the concept design look better than the one on the toy. I like the color deco better on the toy and obviously the Head is actually identifiable as sound wave which is a major thumbs up.

By the way I love how there is bitching about the bitching when it comes to G1 ness. So now we get a G1 head and those opposed to it are now bitching so who are the winers now  

honestly all i want is a movie that resembles the characters that are going to be in the film. If we dont get that I ll be passing this time around.

I have one sneaky suspicion that this toy has another head slapped on it cause im still in shock the head is so close to the G1 seemingly. I wonder if they slipped this one past Bay in the concepts dept.

 

Well, Jazz and Prime had the most robotic scenes of the first movie and they looked alot like their G1 versions.

Considering Soundwave is the robotic-est characters, it's just natural that we can recognize him, hell, BLACKOUT who was SUPPOSED to be him reminds me of SW a bit.

 

Ironhide and Ratchet were probably my favorite designs of the first movie(for on screen characters that is), and they look very little like their G1 selves.

My main requirements for new characters is that they live up to their name (not necessarily their namesake), and look cool.

 

Technically the toy could be the truck in the concept art.

 

This is the transformers fanbase, logic and constructive judgement is few and far between. Its all about who can make the biggest idiot out of them self bitching over a horrible pictures of a toy.

Now if only we have clearer pics. And, oh yes a new camera will be great for the toy guy who posted this pic of movie 2 Soundwave.  

 

He looks like a transmetal 2 tigerhawk with out the animal parts with a weird soundwave/Optimus head on top.

 

I'm so waiting for a review for this fig. There's going to be a lot of cool concepts (combiners, triple changers) and I really want to see how it plays out in a real type setting. This is so exciting.

 

Don't forget the bit about how you also have to fanatically oppose anyone who dares to not see it as either the greatest thing ever so everything else is total trash or it is the worst thing ever that will ruin everything forever now.

Middle of the road is just a good way to get shot at by both sides.
