4/4/2020: The Beginning So, I decided to make my own RotF Hightower after the Studio Series version just didn't cut it for me. Don't get me wrong, SS Hightower was a great improvement from the legends and supreme ones. However, it was too simple in transformation and the arm mode is just his vehicle mode plugged into Scavenger's socket. Because of this, I was going to make an upgrade kit for him (will do that later still) but have switched to making my own out of 3D filament. This will take weeks, so be patient with the progress as it will be updated weekly. Here's my progress on Hightower's crawler crane alt-mode: I have the treads mostly done and have started working on the body of the crane. I plan to base the transformation/Hightower off of this: But making it possible to move his head and neck out, like SS. Criticism/praise are welcome and it would really help if I could obtain 3d models of Hightower and/or his crawler crane alt-mode to speed up production. [updates weekly]
Wow, I know you made a hyper realistic RotF Mixmaster but I didn't know you started to work on a RotF Hightower as well. Thanks!
4/13/2020: Scale and the Crane Boom Since Easter was yesterday, the day was packed and I got what I could get done: I plan to refine the boom and work on the mast next weekend. However, I have found the dimensions of Hightower's alt-mode, and have used them to create a life sized version of the crane that will be reduced to SS and/or MMP size: Oh and by the way, happy Easter and MMP Starscream day!
Just a quick update of what the bot mode is going to look like: I'm also working on his crane alt-mode while figuring out how Hightower is going to transform from robot to crane and finally, to arm mode. (P.S. sorry for not posting updates weekly)
