OMG! If this is gonna be Lugnut's vehicle mode, then I am most DEFINITELY going to be getting this figure! I read about the Hasbro Design Team online panel, mention about Highbrow being a Voyager Class figure and being a WW2 plane as his alt. mode, but they did not mention which WW2 alt. mode Lugnut would have, other then he was going to be a plane..but a B-25 MITCHELL..NOW THAT'S HOT!
Dear god that is smexy. Totally awesome work here. Though I think the flame one is a little distracting from the great details, the one given to as a gift is absolutely fantastic. Keep up the great work!
Wow, never thought I'd see this thread bumped! I really appreciate all the kind words, though. From what I heard, the vehicle mode is based on the flying fortress that has two engines per wing. I am very curious as to what the robot mode looks like though. Oh, I know I will! Hell, I nearly passed out when I heard that his altmode was a WW2 bomber. Totally didn't see that one coming, I was convinced that it was either going to be a Stratosphere remold, or a new figure with a more modern altmode.
He actually looks very close to your artwork, just give him a more angular head that is closer to his cartoon design, add in some blue-gray colors to where the teal would be on his Animated model, lengthen his arms a bit, shorten his legs a bit, and give his overall body a bit of a "boxy" look. Hell, I think his toy is even the same colors as your art!
dammit..why couldn't this have been the hftd version of lugnut?! I would have given my left arm to see this figure as lugnut..a b-25 mitchell is a kick-ass mold for a transformer..wish they had actually released one like this.
