This was a concept I drew up for a movie styled Grimlock, sometime back after I had seen the 2007 movie. Unfortunately I lost the original file due to some computer issues at the time, so I never did do a finished version. But I just remembered I still had this pic and figured you guys might like to see it.
woah really badass! i god frightnend when i would see this! i really wantg this guy as a toy! any ideas how to customize one?
You know, this could really work. I hope your work get treated like Josh Nizzi's did. The dino mode is great, and could be written off as his Cybertronian mode. Robot mode is excellent as well, especially the head without the face sheild and visor, looks like he has a lil Beast Wars Dinobot in the face. I've been against Dinobots in the movie verse, but this is an excellent design, and would really work without being hokey or cheesy.
That is badass!!! They can pull this off in the movie. They cane have the Dinobots crash land next to some Jurassic Park and then just scan the dinosaurs thinking that they are the dominant speices or something.
lol I appeciate that, but it's probably an unlikely prospect. Nizzi was already a professional concept artist, so he kinda had his foot in the door. =p Plus he's a much more skilled artist then me. No clue. But I bet it'd be quite a project. Who knows, maybe a Garage Co, who are fans of the movie, will do something kinda like this if Hasbro never does....Maybe.
Wow - That is BAD ASS! I never thought I'd accept a movie design, but that is something to be admired and adored. : D I love the movie "face" face, too. Again, a first for me in liking that feature. Tom
Yeah, I had the idea at first that maybe movie Grim would kinda be a bit like Beast wars Dinobot, in that he'd actually start out as a Decepticon, and then joins the Autobots later. Seems like ROTF is going to have a lot of that though, with Jetfire and Wheelie.
