But for real though, thanks for at least attempting to fix the pics. They look decent (Save for Meg's feet) but I really wish they would have gone for new Leader class molds to scale with Deluxe bots better.

 

No its not they are running side by side this studio series is hasbros attempt at a long running movie line that runs as long as generations. They may interrupt Each other at points but not replace one another on the shelves.

As an aside from what we do see, the figures look cool.
I do hope though that a MV1 Megs is planned down the line as well. I really want to have a mission city diorama in my shelf.

These look nice, but I wish they were scaled for the movie masterpiece figures.

I’ve just noticed that Studio Series falls under the Generations banner, and more explicitly than AOE Generations did. God I’m slow. I do hope the deluxes still come in boxes like the Premier Editions, though, they display better than the cards if you don’t want every single figure out at one time; kind of assumed they would because of the backdrops.

 

I'd argue "lazy transformation scheme" was the reason for the backpack. Just because they didn't bother to integrate the top of his tank mode into his transformation back then doesn't neccessarily mean that they wouldn't do it now.

 

Well, no, not really. The tank mode wings make up only those tiny black parts on the tips. The rest is just the tank mode shell that would exist there with or without the wings.

That looks like simply bad engineering.

 

I don't see the point of obscuring anything on Brawl/Megatron at this point. What's there to hide? The big secret was that we were even getting these figures. That got leaked out, now we have pics of the box. There's no reason to mark out the images now. It's not like it's preventing us from knowing which figure we are getting.
