Your technical skills on this are great, especially the shading. The design fits the movie aesthetic pretty well but I'd be really interested in a proper model sheet (a static image turnaround) to get a better look at the design. The pose is making it hard to identify the proportions, especially the legs. It looks like he's supposed to be hunched over on his knuckles, almost like a mountain gorilla but it's a little hard to tell. Otherwise, really nice work (and that includes the other artwork on your deviantart page as well).
thanks, youre right, i based the design loosely on a silverback. Was going to do a model sheet but was too impatient to post it!
