I thought Marvel Legends had pretty hefty articulation/high parts count?
    (And were pretty solid?)

It's modest articulation at best, the point still stands though, with a deluxe transformer (roughly 6" like marvel legends) you're getting essentially 2 toys with decent articulation in robot mode for roughly $15 or you get one toy with modest to decent articulation (depending on how you judge articulation) for $20. For voyagers currently it's basically 3 toys for $25 even if you don't like the alt modes. No matter how you cut it there is actually more play value for the money when it comes to transformers than a lot of other toylines

    Wouldn't surprise me.

The real question will be if it's worth it.

Walmart here has the TR voyagers at $29.99. TRU has them at $24.99 but they jacked up the leaders from $44.99 (which is what TR Blaster and Powermaster Prime cost me when they came out) to $54.99.

Oh, I totally agree there's much more play value with a TF, was strictly referring to material costs (also worth noting Deluxe TFs MSRP is $16.99 and Hasbro has to pay reportedly hefty licensing fees on those Marvel figures)

    Ouch. $29.99???

Well, I guess they're going to make their money one way or another. As of right now, there are no listings for Leader Class, only Legends, Deluxe and Voyagers. (Some 1-Steps, of course.) This is according to news on Seibertron's front page. Something they found on Amazon.ca.

While I appreciate the point you're making, it's been made a million times before. We know, believe me, we know. Like I said, we've heard it a million times before. That said, we also have the right to complain to some degree, I'm honestly getting tired of being reminded in every thread about new prices. I get it, it sucks out in the rest of the world and we're pretty fortunate, I'm not saying we aren't but doggone, how many times will it be brought up? How many times will we have to be reminded "Oh, boohoo, poor Americans. Shut up, we got the shit end of the stick."?

    We. Get. It.

And everyone gets it that a $5 price hike sucks, yet everyone moans about that

So you're paying what everyone else outside of the US has been paying for voyagers for ages now.
    Oh noooo.

Honestly I wouldn't mind paying an extra $5 if it goes to the workers overseas. Which can help them and their family a little.

Doesn't make importing them to Finland any more comfortable, but at least they're still much cheaper than what older voyagers retail prices used to be here: it was around $35-$40 if I remember correctly. Deluxe prices were around $21, sometimes a bit less, sometimes much more expensive.

Oh well, if the engineering is closer to the HFTD line than some of the stuff we got in the previous movie lines, not too bad. Then again, I do not end up ordering that many figures per line anyway, in the end, so easy for me to say. I understand the frustration of you folks, especially those who're completists. :D

    There's that too. :)
