Makes sense if that's the MSRP for the Premier Optimus. It's more expensive than usual, and the listing seems to be showing up much earlier than movie lines normally do.

Yeah... I'll wait for the rest of the line first if they end up being better or worse then that mold. Hmmm, still do these premier Optimus have any cross-sells anywhere on their boxes?

Neither are any other voyagers. If you ask me, all the size classes are overpriced these days, but that's just my opinion.

I'll pay $30 when Hasbro can be bothered to even try and put the colors in the right place.

On the left we have one predominately four color transformer (silver, dark grey, blue, red) . On the right we have another four color transformer (silver, blue, gold, red)

The difference? The one on the right had his color mask based upon the CG character the toy is based on. The one on the left meanwhile, had his color masked designed by someone who just discovered the flood fill tool.

I honestly don't get what Hasbro's deal is with this, and parts of Titan's returns (Blurr, Scourge). They're producing action figures with the exact same amount of paint as their Takara versions or design cousins (as in this example), but apply this in a laughably haphazard way. I'd love to hear the cost justification for not making Prime's neck guard silver (but rather blue) while doing part of his gauntlets in dark grey and part of blue.

There isn't one. It just looks terrible.

The joke of it is, we all know someone at Radicons is going to make that absurdly detailed TLK Voyager Mold shine with an amazing paint job, just like how Takara made the Blurr we always wanted by using a slightly different shade of paint a little differently.

Legends are the ones that get me. They are sooooo not worth anywhere near $10. If they were the old Scout size, sure, but I'll never pay $10 for a figure that small.

Deluxes at $15ish and Voyagers at $25 i feel like are sensible price points, but i have a REALLY hard time with leaders at $45 given they are so hollow and now are really the size of Ultras which USED to be $25-30. (and hefty. and include electronics. not that i want electronic really, but i also don't like paying way more for way less)

but i'll totally pay it for Sixshot first chance i get. Hypocrite.

...honestly if a Premium Voyager Optimus is only $30...I dunno that's not that bad, TBH. That's only $5 more. Isn't the other premium stuff usually a lot worse?

5 dollars more or 20.00 dollars more , my question is when will the price hikes end ? , Once upon a time a deluxe was half the price of what it can end up being at some stores as well as Voyagers , and the amount of product you get only seems to be shrinking with every price hike we get . lol . Don`t get me wrong , I`ll keep collecting till I stop drawing breath , and am so grateful we are getting the level of awesomeness that we are .BUT the price of things gets in the way some times .Once upon a time we could have built a modern CW combiner for a fraction of what it costs now . Just makes me a bit saddened as all . Of course my face lights up with every new wave of figures that gets introduced . Cup half full , half empty sort of thing I guess .

I believe it after seeing the prices for the RID Combiner crap. $20 for the gimmicky Activators and $15 for the crash combiner two pack. I picked up the box at Target today and just laughed. I guess they were supposed to be Warrior class toys, but they looked like a mini version of the Titan Heros.

I love the Computron set, but the plastic and QC is terrible. The figures feel like they are made from milk jugs.

Hasbro is setting new levels for crap at high prices. After what they pulled with the $14.99 armor up Star Wars figures that were exactly the same as the $7.99 figures, BUT CAME IN A BOX!!! WHOOOOOO THAT'S WORTH $7.

My son isn't getting a toy that should be $10 but selling for $20.

    Prices should be:

    Deluxe - $13
    Voyager - $23
    Leader - $40

    But they wont be.

I think $20 is too much for a deluxe these days, but for $15? Nah. I mean, how many TFs pre-2010 had opening cockpits for a little transformable pilot/headmaster? Or one that had four modes for a combiner?

Transformers may cost more, but they also do more.

Remember when they came with a little Targetmaster guy for the same price? Apparently they couldn't make any money by giving you all that excessive plastic!

Even if I liked the Bayformers product, I wouldn't touch it at the prices Hasbro and their distributors will charge.

Haven't even run through the whole thread but for those complaining about the price consider this, 6" marvel legends figures and D.C. Multiverse figures run $20 on average. They are a single toy, sometime with a build a figure part and sometimes accessories. They also have pretty basic articulation. Transformers that are roughly the same size and articulation level also double as a second toy by nature of having an alt mode and cost less. Transformers are honestly a decent value among toys of a similar size
