The throwback varieties are only planned on being available until june 15th or so. They may make it again, but I would say buy it while you can. I have 2 cases of Pepsi Throwback in my fridge and that is the last of it my Grocery Store will be seeing for a while. I haven't tried the Mountain Dew, but the Pepsi is quite good. If I can find the Mountain Dew I plan to try that as well.
I think they are just testing it, but if fan feedback is awesome, they may keep it. I think it's worth keeping, definitely different.
Yeah, it's pretty good. Voltage is still the best though. I know its a planned permanent addition, but stores around here aren't really carrying it anymore..worries me.
Yeah, Voltage is hard to keep on the shelf. Here I only find it regular at the commisary on base. Off post there's nil.
Ugh... I haven't tried it, but I hope it's better than Pepsi Throwback. The best Dew....EVAR is Baja Blast.

Throwback is Pepsi and Mountain Dew made with real sugar instead of corn syrup. That's the way they made them up until the mid '80s. Both are good, and I hope they make them permanent.
Ah. That's what I was guessing. I had the dr. Pepper stuff like that. Didn't really care for it. Felt like it was eating my teeth.
Pepsi Throwback had a floral honey aftertaste to it. I took one sip, and my face almost caved in from cringing. I tried one more sip just in case my mind was playing tricks on me or something. My face wanted to implode. And just to be fair, plus the whole "third time's a charm" thing, I tried a third sip, but this time from a different bottle. Egads, it was awful. I sure hope Mountain Dew is better than the Pepsi, because it was bottled awful. Pure, concentrated, awful. Damn straight, it does. I Googled and Googled, and ended up on Wikipedia. Apparently it's Mountain Dew with Pineapple and Lime flavoring in it. I can get Pineapple sodas, but I don't think anyone makes Lime, do they? Perhaps a lime juice or something, mixed in with the rest...
Pepsi with REAL sugar? Hell yeah, bring this shit to Canada! Sodas with real sugar are always better, so I need to try this.
Throwback is awesome. I really hope they keep making it, as it's even better than regular Mountain Dew. I'm not sure which I like better; Throwback, Game Fuel, or Code Red. At least I can get Game Fuel again though, even if they do get rid of Throwback.
American sodas, no. dnL was rather limey, but it's been gone for several years. Jarritos (Mexican soda that's pretty common in the U.S.) has a lime flavor, though.
