He should also invest in a burner account. It'd be much easier to report on what he's told "secondhand" that way.
Awesome, Frog Monger is the character find of 2023. I love how they don't bring up why he has a Flash Gordon jetpack and ray gun, he just does.
Just got my Frog Monger and yeah, his card isn’t one of those collector-friendly ones. I am disappointed at the screenshots though, he’s way less a villain in this form than I justified to order him in the first place, so I haven’t opened mine yet.
Well this is strange. I've just read a report of wave 12 being sold at standard Australian retail (Big W) on the Gold Coast. US packaging to boot.
Seems like they managed to get some US stock, I assume from Mattel since they are a big retailer. Not wired that it would show up there first since they are closer to China.
Frog Monger comic Spoiler ends with a spread of New Adventures spaceships, could this be a hint of things to come?
I forgot, Matty still owes me Wun-dars, Grizzlors, and Frog Mongers. I will probably forget before they ship them, Cammo Khans came in though.
But it is wierd. Big W has been continually unable to obtain MOTU stock, even though they had an exclusive arrangement with Mattel. They have been a sick joke for the past two years. Those stores that have had stock have received a carton of a given wave and no more, and they've only stocked waves 6 and 9 (but showed wave 5 toys on their web site), as well as the evergreen He-Man, Skelly, and Battlecat (but it has been over a year since they actually had any He-Man toys at all). Plus Australian stock from Hasbro and Mattel generally comes via the US, not directly from China. Plus plus, only importers have been able to get US packaging so far - Mattel has been supplying us with the international (European, now that I know that there's another set of international packaging for South America) variant. And apart from all of that, nobody in Australia (except two importers that I know of, and neither of them has repeated the feat) has previously been able to get hold of any stock more than a month or three behind US retail. I'm not complaining, mind (well, I am, because so far its only one Big W store on the other side of the continent), just think it's all a bit odd. I'm hoping it is a sign of Big W finally getting its shit together with regard to MOTU, because most Australian MOTU collectors have written Big W off entirely.
Yup, I'm also logging into MC daily to check the status of Frog Monger (because I do not trust them to send me an e-mail). No change, and Wun Dar is still marked "processing"...
